Since it was first settled back in the fall of 1847, Centerville has been among the most pleasant cities in all of Utah. The settling of Centerville was part of the large-scale Mormon exodus that brought with it waves of pioneers and nearly 70,000 people. Centerville was at first called the Deuel Settlement before being changed to Cherry Creek and finally Centerville, to reflect its geographical location between the towns of Bountiful and Farmington.

You can book an RV in Centerville if you like the idea of seeing the state of Utah on your own terms. Centerville is conveniently located several miles north of Salt Lake City, the capital city and most populated area in the entire state. On top of that, the town is sandwiched between the legendary Great Salt Lake to the west, and the majestic Wasatch Mountains to the east, so the scenery is sublime, to say the least. There is truly no better way to get a feel for spectacular Utah, so rent an RV and start planning your dream road trip as soon as you can.

Wasatch National Forest is a medium-sized forest on the outskirts of Salt Lake City in the surrounding mountains. There are five wilderness areas within the forest, a few of which are shared with the neighboring Uinta and Cache National Forests. Adventurous people can snowshoe or climb the 9,000-foot peak to see some unbelievable panoramic views from the apex. Camping is allowed and encouraged at all national forests, so you don't need to worry about what to do with your Centerville motorhome rental when you set off for the forest in the mountains.

There are some other nature preserves and refuges close to Centerville, but most of the state’s true treasures lie to the south, which isn’t a problem if you rent an RV and take a road trip. There are several stunning national parks in southern Utah worth visiting, and ideally, you could make time for them all. If your time is limited, however, Zion National Park is probably the crown jewel of Utah. Zion National Park is lined with epic burnt-red cliffs and canyons that are popular with rock climbers. Gorgeous rivers rip through the backcountry wilderness, and several elevated hiking trails offer ridiculous views of the fertile valley hidden in between the canyon walls. You can take your Centerville RV rental camping at one of the park's campgrounds no matter what time the year, though it can be quite cold in the middle of winter. Nearby there are other great national parks that deserve a visit, like Canyonlands National Park or Capitol Reef National Park.
