Fuquay Varina, North Carolina, is located south of the capital city of Raleigh. It is a combination of two towns that merged in 1963, Fuquay Springs and Varina. The town was first settled in the early 19th century and was a farming community for over 150 years. There was a refreshing spring discovered in the mid-19th century and the family of Stephen Fuquay sold the springs to a group that began to market it as an attraction for its taste and clarity.

This region of the country is well known for its investment in parks and recreational opportunities, and when you book an RV in Fuquay Varina, you’ll be about a 30-minute drive from William B. Umstead State Park near Raleigh. A bit farther north is Falls Lake State Recreation Area near Wake Forest. This is a relatively large lake region that’s great for boating, fishing, hiking, and other recreational activities. If you head west, you can enjoy other water recreation activities at Jordan Lake near Pittsboro.
