RV Pro Host: The Culinary Camper

Check out this surprising fact about this special Seattle-based Outdoorsy RV Pro Host: She’s a well-known chef who took her love of RV’ing to the next level. And that next level took the shape of a huge Class A Thor Motor Coach Daybreak which she now rents out to fellow campers who want to travel like pros.

She brings her love of cooking into her life as a Pro-Host: She includes cakes from the Whidbey Island Bakery Cj & Y Decadent Desserts (it helps that her good friend and sister own the business) including her personal favorites, the flourless chocolate espresso and flourless chocolate raspberry. These cakes literally melt in your mouth, she says, happily.

Who is this mysterious Pro Host, you ask?

Her name is Barbara Tidwell and she’s an experienced camper and outdoor enthusiast. She’s worked in a variety of camp positions including assistant camp director, camp host and camp cook. She hnews a degree from Washington State University in Recreation and Leisure Studies. She bought her first popup tent trailer in 2011. As she finished her cookbook, The Culinary Camper cookbook.
