Situated in Ashton, Idaho, in the upper Snake River Plain near the Wyoming border, Jolley Camper RV and Cottages positions guests at the western gateway to Yellowstone National Park's Bechler and Cave Falls areas while also providing a convenient base for the Mesa Falls Scenic Byway, the St. Anthony Sand Dunes, and the volcanic landscapes of eastern Idaho. The campground's site layout on a privacy-oriented loop, combined with Grand Teton views from select RV positions and Idaho sunset panoramas across the plain, gives the property a scenic character that sets it apart from purely utilitarian campgrounds in the Ashton area. Accommodations span three formats to suit different travel preferences. Cottages sleeping up to four are fully equipped with heaters, air conditioning, private bathrooms and showers, refrigerators, microwaves, and coffee makers—a level of self-contained comfort suited to guests who prefer not to manage campground logistics while using the property as a basecamp for multi-day regional exploration. RV hookup sites on the privacy loop provide full connections including water, sewer, and 30-amp electrical service, with select positions oriented toward the Teton Range to the east. Open lawn camping areas with tent-friendly surfaces are available alongside shared restrooms, showers, and laundry access. The upper Snake River Plain landscape surrounding Ashton is geologically dramatic—a volcanic plateau shaped by some of the most recent and extensive basaltic eruptions in the continental United States, with the Yellowstone hotspot's geological influence visible in the cinder cones, lava flows, and thermal features that punctuate the countryside. The Henry's Fork of the Snake River, flowing through the Harriman State Park meadows and through Island Park before passing near Ashton, is one of the most celebrated fly fishing rivers in the American West and draws anglers from across the country during its productive season. Cave Falls and the Bechler Meadows area in Yellowstone National Park's southwest corner are accessible via Forest Service roads from Ashton—a remote and lightly visited section of the park characterized by cascading waterfalls, thermal springs, and extensive backcountry meadows that are often snow-free later in summer than the more famous northern sections. Mesa Falls, accessible on the Mesa Falls Scenic Byway north of Ashton, is among the most visually impressive waterfalls in the Pacific Northwest region, with both Upper Mesa Falls and Lower Mesa Falls viewable from maintained trails in the Targhee National Forest. - Check-ins for RV sites are welcome between the hours of 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Check-ins for Cottages are welcome between the hours of 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Check-out time is 11:00 a.m. unless previously arranged by the owner.
- Late arrivals are discouraged and we ask that you respect the comfort and privacy of other campers if driving in or out late is unavoidable.
- Please come to the office and we will direct you to your site.
- While each park attempts to accommodate your exact spot request, the on-site manager has the ultimate decision for spot placement.Park Disclaimers
