Circle RV Resort

Campground in El Cajon, CA • 162 RV Sites

Twenty miles east of downtown San Diego in the East County community of El Cajon, Circle RV Resort delivers luxury-level RV accommodation at one of California's most strategically positioned campgrounds—an address that puts guests within easy reach of Balboa Park, the San Diego Zoo, Sea World, Coronado Island, and the USS Midway Museum while providing the full-service resort infrastructure that makes an extended California Coast stay both comfortable and genuinely worthwhile. The resort's 165 gravel sites accommodate RVs up to 65 feet with full hookups, and the two temperature-controlled outdoor pools, hot tubs, fitness center, tennis and pickleball courts, and clubhouse create a resort environment that reads more like a boutique hotel than a highway campground. All 165 gravel sites feature full hookups with 50-amp electric service, water, and sewer connections accommodating motorhomes and fifth-wheels up to 65 feet in length. Two temperature-controlled outdoor pools and hot tubs provide year-round aquatic recreation in the mild Southern California climate, and tennis and pickleball courts, a fitness center, billiards room, TV lounge, guest library, and clubhouse cover the full spectrum of leisure for guests spending multiple days between San Diego sightseeing. Cabana rentals, scenic walking paths through the landscaped grounds, and a well-maintained enclosed pet run complete a resort package that fully justifies the designation without reservation. El Cajon's position in the San Diego East County—east of Mission Valley and accessible via I-8 and Highway 67—gives Circle RV Resort proximity to Mission Trails Regional Park, one of the largest municipal parks in the United States. Mission Trails provides 65 miles of trails through chaparral, granite boulders, and riparian corridors of the San Diego River valley—a hiking and mountain biking destination of exceptional quality within minutes of a major metropolitan campground. Lake Murray and El Capitan Reservoir extend the outdoor recreation menu for fishing and lakeside activity in the surrounding East County terrain. San Diego's world-class attractions spread across the urban landscape within a 30-minute drive—the San Diego Zoo in Balboa Park, Sea World San Diego, the USS Midway Museum at the Broadway Pier, and the cultural collections of Balboa Park's 17 museums and gardens make the park one of the most comprehensive urban cultural destinations in the country. Coronado Island's Hotel del Coronado beach and Silver Strand State Beach provide the California coastal experience from a peninsula connected to the mainland by the Silver Strand highway, and Old Town San Diego State Historic Park preserves the original Mexican and early American settlement in the state's most historically layered neighborhood. Nearby casinos in the Viejas and Sycuan tribal gaming facilities add a local entertainment option for guests who want to supplement the sightseeing days. Southern California's Mediterranean climate makes Circle RV Resort a functional year-round destination, with the most consistently pleasant camping conditions arriving from April through June and September through November when daytime temperatures stay in the 70s and the coastal fog that characterizes summer mornings burns off by midday. Summer brings the marine layer and the peak tourist season to San Diego's attractions, while winter is mild enough for comfortable camping with the pools maintained at comfortable temperatures. Reserve early for summer and holiday weeks when the San Diego metro area fills its campgrounds with domestic and international visitors seeking one of America's most appealing coastal city experiences.
