Yellowstone Hot Springs Resort

Campground in Gardiner, MT • 39 RV Sites

Eight miles north of Yellowstone National Park's North Entrance in Gardiner, Montana—at the south end of Paradise Valley where the Yellowstone River emerges from the mountains into the valley floor with the Absaroka Range rising on both flanks—Yellowstone Hot Springs Resort combines natural mineral spring soaking with cabin and suite accommodations in one of the most strategically positioned hospitality properties in the greater Yellowstone ecosystem. Three mineral spring pools of graduated temperature—a cold plunge, a 100-degree pool, and a 106-degree pool—are fed continuously by water drawn straight from the earth, chemical-free, and surrounded by manicured lawns with lounge chairs. The Kneipp Walk hydrotherapy path, a traditional European alternating warm and cool stepping zone practice rare at American hot spring facilities, adds a wellness dimension that distinguishes Yellowstone Hot Springs from the straightforward hot spring soak experience. The resort's accommodation options span cabin and suite configurations. Four log-style cabins sleep four to six guests with a mini fridge, Keurig coffee maker, smart TV with streaming capabilities, private entrance, and direct Yellowstone River views—the river views alone justifying the morning coffee ritual that the Keurig enables with uncommon efficiency. Lodging suites provide the most comfortable enclosed option, with private bathrooms, mountain and river views, air conditioning for summer guests, sofa beds for flexible sleeping configurations, dining areas, and complimentary WiFi. An on-site restaurant serves American cuisine with gluten-free options available, providing the dining convenience that a destination eight miles from the nearest Yellowstone gateway town amenities makes genuinely important. The pools operate Wednesday through Sunday from 9 AM to 9 PM, making weekday reservations both more available and more tranquil for guests who can adjust their arrival timing. Paradise Valley's character—the Yellowstone River moving north through the valley while the Absaroka Range and the Gallatin Range provide the flanking ridgelines—constitutes one of the great American landscape corridors. The light on the valley in the morning and evening hours captures the quality that has attracted painters and photographers to the greater Yellowstone region since Thomas Moran first documented it for a public that had not yet seen what the West contained. The elk that winter in the valley, the pronghorn on the valley floor, and the bighorn sheep on the river-facing cliffs of the canyon section give Paradise Valley a wildlife richness that begins within sight of the resort and continues into the park. Yellowstone National Park's North Entrance at Gardiner provides the most direct access to the park's Northern Range—the Lamar Valley, consistently regarded as the premier wildlife viewing corridor in the lower 48 states and the location where wolf packs, bison herds, bear families, and the full complement of Yellowstone's megafauna concentrate in numbers and proximity unequaled anywhere else in the American ecosystem. The Mammoth Hot Springs terraces, the Norris Geyser Basin, and the park's road network through the northern section are all accessible from the Gardiner entrance with the seasonal advantage that the North Entrance road to Mammoth Hot Springs is the only Yellowstone road open year-round to private vehicles. Yellowstone Hot Springs Resort is open through the primary Yellowstone visitor season and provides the recovery infrastructure—mineral soaking, river views, and a proper bed—that the intensity of Yellowstone wildlife watching and park exploration specifically generates a need for. Book your cabin with the river view, arrive in time for the 106-degree pool at dusk, and let the Yellowstone River and the Paradise Valley frame what the greater Yellowstone ecosystem looks like in its most immediately accessible form.
