Alderwood RV Resort

Campground in Mead, WA • 101 RV Sites

Just north of Spokane in Mead, Washington—where the forested northern fringe of Washington's second largest city transitions into the evergreen corridors and agricultural valleys of Spokane County's rural landscape—Alderwood RV Resort offers the uncommon combination of city proximity and genuine natural surroundings, with a heated indoor swimming pool, recreation room, dog park, fenced pet areas, BBQ pits, and full hookup sites tucked into a property where towering conifers create the canopy and wildlife moves through the surrounding forest with the regularity expected from a campground sitting at the Inland Northwest's urban-wilderness edge. Open year-round, Alderwood serves both the seasonal recreation visitor and the extended-stay or full-time resident who wants Spokane access from a natural setting. Full hookup sites with electric, water, and sewer serve rigs of all configurations, with laundry facilities, clean showers and bathrooms, a general store for daily supplies, and on-site RV storage rounding out the essential infrastructure. The indoor heated pool is the resort's recreational anchor across all seasons—particularly valuable in the Inland Northwest's cool spring and fall when outdoor water access is limited. The recreation room provides the indoor social space for gatherings and rainy-day activity, and the fenced dog park and separate fenced pet areas give traveling guests with multiple animals the space they need without creating conflicts with non-pet neighbors. Walking trails through the property's forested terrain connect to the surrounding natural corridors. Mead sits in northern Spokane County in the Inland Northwest's Channeled Scablands and Palouse transition zone, where the regional geography shifts between the basalt plateau carved by ancient glacial floods and the forested ridges of the Selkirk Mountains to the north and east. The surrounding conifer forest provides habitat for white-tailed deer, wild turkey, and the songbird diversity that makes the Spokane area a genuine birding destination—spring migration in the Spokane River corridor and surrounding forests produces the warbler and songbird variety that draws observers from across the Pacific Northwest. Spokane's full metropolitan amenity set is 15 minutes south, anchored by Riverfront Park and the historic Spokane Expo site in the heart of downtown, the Spokane Convention Center, and a downtown restaurant and arts district that has undergone significant development. Spokane's wine country—the Spokane Valley and surrounding Columbia Plateau AVA—supports tasting rooms within easy reach, and the Palouse wine region south of the city adds additional options. Mount Spokane State Park to the northeast provides skiing, snowshoeing, and summer hiking with panoramic views across the Spokane Valley and into Idaho's Selkirk foothills. Alderwood operates year-round, making it one of the Spokane area's most flexible camping options for the Inland Northwest's four-season recreational calendar: skiing at Mount Spokane and the northern Idaho resorts in winter, hiking and wildflower viewing in the surrounding forests in spring, water recreation on the region's lakes and rivers in summer, and the inland foliage that colors the Spokane Valley's cottonwoods and aspens brilliant gold in October. Reserve your site at Alderwood RV Resort and use Mead's wooded, convenient position as your gateway to everything Spokane's Inland Northwest delivers.
