Along Interstate 84 in the farming community of Wendell in south-central Idaho's Magic Valley, Wilson's RV Park provides a well-equipped full-service stop in the heart of the Snake River Plain—a plateau of volcanic basalt, productive irrigated farmland, and extraordinary geological features that make the surrounding Gooding County area far more interesting than a simple highway campground stop would suggest. The park's friendly morning tradition of fresh coffee and waffles sets a welcoming tone for the day's activities in a region where Thousand Springs waterfalls, natural hot springs, Shoshone Falls, and the Snake River canyon create a concentrated outdoor experience within 30 minutes of the campground in nearly every direction. Twenty-five pull-through sites with electric service and 25 electric-water hookup sites provide 30 and 50-amp power alongside a dump station, propane, laundry, and a small store for supply needs. Sites accommodate RVs and trailers up to 63 feet, and restrooms and showers provide clean support facilities for overnight and extended stays. The morning waffle and coffee service—available daily—gives the campground a distinctive hospitality character that rises above the minimal-service standard many highway campgrounds adopt, and the playground serves younger guests during the arrival and departure hours of busy travel days. The Thousand Springs area, about seven miles east of Wendell in the Snake River Canyon, represents one of the most visually dramatic geological features in the entire Snake River Plain—a stretch of canyon wall where the water table of the Snake River Aquifer emerges in cascading springs pouring directly from the basalt cliff faces into the Snake River below. Box Canyon State Park, near Wendell along the rim of the Snake River Canyon, protects a 300-foot basalt gorge carved by the ancient Bonneville Flood through the Pleistocene lava plain—a geological monument to the catastrophic ice-age flooding that shaped the entire Snake River drainage. Check-In Procedure
- Check-In time is at 1 PM.
- Check-out time is at 11 AM.
- While each park attempts to accommodate your exact spot request, the onsite manager has the ultimate decision for spot placement.Pet Policy
- Three pets maximum.
- If you have a dog, do not let your dog run loose to use the restroom on the other sites or in the roadways.
- Leashes must be used when your dog is outside of the RV.
- Please ensure to clean up after your pet (pet clean-up receptacles are available in the dog park area, and between sites 1 and 2).
- If it is witnessed or reported that your pet's clean-up has not been performed, there will be a $15 fee per incident.
- Pets must not be left unattended outside of your RV for safety purposes.
- Aggressive animals are not allowed in the park.Rate and Occupancy
- Your rate includes 1 site allowing for one recreational vehicle, one additional vehicle per site, 8-person occupancy, and up to 3 pets.
- Site includes power, water (water not available November through March), and use of on-site dump station.Children and Safety
- Please do not allow children under the age of 13 to be unattended outside of the RV, at the Campground Park, or wandering the Campground common areas for the safety of all guests.Parking and Roads
- Do not at any time park in the empty sites.
- Please do not park or drive on the grass, no exceptions.
- We have underground sprinklers, and driving on the grass breaks them and will leave ruts in our grass.
- Do not drive or park against the one-way direction of the roads.
- It confuses other campers, and we do this for the safety of our guests.
- Our roads are not large enough to provide two-way traffic.Lawn and Grounds Care
- Please, no mats, rugs, boards, steps, or other things that will smother the grass and kill it.
- The irrigation sprinklers come on at different times during the week.
- We mow at different times throughout the week.
- Please keep belongings picked up for the convenience of watering, mowing, and weed eating.
- Wilson’s RV & Park is not liable if things are left out and damaged due to sprinklers or mowing.
- Please do not drive on our grass, as it breaks our sprinklers.Picnic Tables and Grills
- No barbecue grills on the tables without protection to catch drippings (foil, etc.).
- Please do not put hot grills in the grass.
- Please inform management of any issues with the provided tables.Site Maintenance and Cleanliness
- Please keep your possessions confined to under your RV and cleaned up nicely.
- Any skirting must be in nice repair with no holes and approved by management.
- Do not leave garbage, cigarette butts, etc. on the ground.
- No dumping of gray or black water tanks in the sites.
- Mechanical work on your vehicle, such as changing oil, is prohibited.
- Your help in keeping our RV Park clean and beautiful is appreciated.Quiet Hours and Courtesy
- Quiet time is from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.
- Please respect other campers.
- Radios, noise, and vehicle lights/engine noise disturb other campers.Restroom Rules
- We appreciate your help to keep the restrooms clean.
- We do not have a separate cleaning service.
- Avoid flooding the floors by always keeping the plastic shower curtain inside the shower stall.
- No foot/bath powders allowed as they make the floor slick and dangerous for other campers.
