Whitesboro RV Resort

Campground in Whitesboro, TX • 85 RV Sites

In the quiet community of Whitesboro in Grayson County, Texas, Whitesboro RV Resort has established itself as a clean, well-run full-hookup facility that serves both the long-haul traveler working US Highway 82 and the growing population of North Texas RV guests who want a comfortable, uncrowded park within reasonable distance of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. With 85 sites on smooth, level gravel pads, a shaded dog park, a catch-and-release pond, and a clubhouse providing the kind of community space that encourages guests to linger rather than check out early, Whitesboro delivers value and quality in a setting that benefits from the unhurried pace of small-town north Texas. Eighty-five full hookup sites with 30 and 50-amp electric, city water, and sewer connections accommodate rigs of every size on level gravel pads designed for stability and drainage. A comfortable clubhouse with coffee, flat-screen TV, and a game room provides a gathering space that keeps guests connected to each other and to the property, and an outdoor community fire pit and BBQ area extend the social options to the campfire tradition that many guests still consider the point of the whole exercise. Three sets of modern 24/7 restroom and shower facilities—including ADA-compliant options—are maintained to a standard consistently cited in guest reviews, and a fully equipped modern laundry facility handles washing needs without requiring a trip to town. A catch-and-release pond with peaceful water views, a shaded dog park, a family playground, propane refill service, RV storage, and ice and water vending complete a thoroughly considered amenity lineup. Grayson County's position in the Red River Valley north of Dallas-Fort Worth gives Whitesboro a landscape character that rewards the traveler who takes a few hours to look beyond the highway. The Red River itself forms the Texas-Oklahoma border just north of Whitesboro, and the agricultural landscape of Grayson County—wheat fields, cattle pastures, and the rolling Cross Timbers terrain that marks the transition between the eastern deciduous forests and the Great Plains—has a genuine regional character that long-distance travelers in a hurry tend to miss entirely. Lake Texoma, one of the largest reservoirs in the United States and one of the premier striped bass fisheries in the country, is within straightforward driving distance of Whitesboro—close enough for a morning on the water or a full fishing day without making the drive the event. The Eisenhower Birthplace State Historic Site in Denison, Sherman's historic downtown and cultural institutions, and the Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge on the Lake Texoma arm provide day-trip destinations of substance for guests who want to use the campground as a Grayson County base camp. The DFW metro—an hour south on US 75—provides urban options when the itinerary calls for them. Whitesboro RV Resort is open year-round and serves a mix of transient highway travelers, Lake Texoma-bound anglers, and extended-stay guests who have discovered that small-town north Texas offers a practical and comfortable alternative to the metro RV parks that charge more for considerably less amenity. Monthly rates are available for long-term guests, and the park's consistent maintenance standards and genuine hospitality make it a reliable choice that rewards return visits. Book your site, set up the camp chairs by the pond, and let Whitesboro's uncomplicated Texas hospitality do the rest.
