Can I extend my trip?

So you’re on the road, having a blast in the rig you rented from Outdoorsy, and you’re itching to extend your trip?

Or maybe your Outdoorsy trip hasn’t started yet, but you’ve decided you want to extend your trip because you can never have enough s’more-tastic fun? 

Sweet! In either of these cases, we make it super easy to request a trip extension.

If you are in the middle of your Outdoorsy rental and want to extend your trip, simply reach out to the RV owner and as long as the owner agrees to extend, you can request your date changes from the app. Once the owner approves the change, you’ll be all set.

If, on the other hand, you want to extend or cancel your trip before it starts, you’d want to first contact the RV owner to let them know what’s up. If you’re asking for a trip extension and the owner agrees, you or the owner can then click on the trip in your Outdoorsy dashboard and click “suggest new dates”. Once the new dates are approved, you’re good to go.

Most of the above changes can be made directly on the Outdoorsy app or on our webpage. You can also check out this video that walks you through how to request a date change.

NOTE: If you suggest new dates from your dashboard, the RV owner will still have to approve the request on their end before your date change becomes official. If the owner suggests new dates from their dashboard, you will likewise have to approve the date change on your side before it becomes official. You will receive a confirmation once the date change is complete. 

If you need to cancel your reservation, notify the RV owner and familiarize yourself with their cancellation policy. Outdoorsy upholds all owner cancellation policies as set on their listings.
