
<h1><strong>Overview and Declarations Information</strong></h1>



<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Outdoorsy coverages are unique in that both the host and guest are protected when renting through Outdoorsy and purchasing a Protection Package. The protections offered are specific to the party and the protection package available and purchased. The information contained herein is specific to the vehicle host and describes what is precisely covered and under what circumstances. To the extent this document conflicts with the Outdoorsy Terms of Service, this document controls.</span></p>



<h4><strong>Host Coverages&nbsp;</strong></h4>



<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Once a host or listing agent has completed the insurance verification for the listed vehicle the vehicle host&#8217;s protection is activated. Providing a claim meets the coverage stipulations below and the Outdoorsy Terms of Service, and the host hands the keys to a verified driver, the host&#8217;s vehicle is covered for Comprehensive and Collision coverage (as described below) for the Actual Cash Value of the covered unit up to 1 million dollars. The host is also covered under these conditions for up to 1 million dollars in liability coverage for circumstances where the host is found liable for a covered loss.</span></p>



<h4><strong>Covered vehicles</strong></h4>



<p>Hosts who list their vehicles on the Outdoorsy platform can apply for vehicle protection through the listing tool. If your vehicle is approved, it would qualify as a covered vehicle provided that the vehicle is properly maintained as described and required in the Outdoorsy<a href="https://www.outdoorsy.com/help/outdoorsy-terms-and-conditions"> Terms of Service</a>. Please note that any motorized unit or trailer with a salvage-titled history does not qualify for coverage. If you have an older vehicle, know that Outdoorsy is the only major RV rental platform that covers vehicles older than 15 years for both Physical Damage and Liability. Motorized vehicles registered in the state of New York do not qualify, only trailers.</p>



<p>Please note any vehicle that does not meet consistent safety verification standards outlined by Outdoorsy’s<a href="https://www.outdoorsy.com/help/vehicle-certification-mean-exactly"> vehicle certification requirements</a> and terms will be disqualified as a covered vehicle.</p>



<h4>Episodic Coverage</h4>



<p>Outdoorsy provides episodic coverage under its <a href="https://www.outdoorsy.com/help/owners-protection-packages">protection packages</a> for covered losses that occur exclusively during the rental period. The covered period for host coverage extends from the time of key handoff to the verified guest on the start date of the booking, until the vehicle return and key handoff on the final scheduled booking date (or earlier if returned earlier than the final booking day).&nbsp;</p>



<p>Covered damages that cannot be confirmed as having occurred during the rental period will not be paid. Hosts must take unaltered, unedited pre-trip photos with metadata containing the date and time stamp of when such photo was taken immediately prior to departure and the same photos immediately upon return.&nbsp;</p>



<h4><strong>Territories of Coverage</strong></h4>



<p>Our US Comprehensive and Collision coverage applies to covered losses occurring in the US or Canada for vehicles registered in the United States of America, regardless of where the booking begins or ends. We are currently unable to offer additional protection for vehicles registered in the state of New York. Please note that coverage is void for the entire booking period if the vehicle enters Mexico.</p>



<h4><strong>Deductibles</strong></h4>



<p>The deductible for the Comprehensive and Collision coverage is owed by the guest and determined by the<a href="https://www.outdoorsy.com/help/owners-protection-packages"> protection package</a> selected by the guest at the time of booking. The deductible will apply on a per-loss basis to both comprehensive and collision losses.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>



<p>Outdoorsy will use all commercially reasonable efforts to recover the deductible from the guest including the application of any available<a href="https://www.outdoorsy.com/help/what-is-the-security-deposit-how-does-it-work"> security deposit</a> following deductions for approved ancillary overage and fees.</p>



<h4><strong>Other Declarations Information</strong></h4>



<p>Declarations information specific to each rental that is not identified above, such as the vehicle approved for coverage, the covered parties, and coverage period/booking dates, will be provided on the booking receipt available on either parties’ Outdoorsy dashboard.</p>

<h1><strong>Protection Coverage Agreements&nbsp;</strong></h1>



<h4><strong>Covered Perils</strong></h4>



<p>Outdoorsy will pay for sudden, direct, and accidental damage to the listed vehicle for perils covered under our Comprehensive &amp; Collision coverage. Payments will be issued to the legal owner of a listed vehicle unless otherwise specified by the legal owner.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>



<p>Our collision coverage will apply when damages are sustained to the covered vehicle as the result of an impact on an object or another vehicle or the upset of the vehicle.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>



<p>All covered perils are subject to investigation and determination by our claims team.&nbsp;</p>



<h4><strong>Exclusion</strong>s</h4>



<p>The Outdoorsy coverage will cover comprehensive and collision damages to the vehicle caused by a covered peril. However, as with any insurance policy, there are necessary exclusions to the coverage. Outdoorsy does not cover the following:</p>



<ul><li>Losses caused by mechanical or electrical breakdown or failure, wear and tear, lack of maintenance, or damages occurring over time, are not covered. This includes resulting damages from a covered peril that was found to be caused by failure or breakdown.</li><li>Damages resulting from war, riot, terror, political unrest, biological/chemical, nuclear, or radioactive contamination.</li><li>Damages resulting from the manufacturer or prior repair defects.</li><li>Damages incurred where a host has not taken all necessary steps to respond to a manufacturer or NHSTA safety recall issued on their vehicle.</li><li>Damages to any electronic equipment or accessories designed for the reproduction of sound, that send or receive audio, visual, or data signals unless required for the normal operation of the vehicle.</li><li>Loss of personal property belonging to either host or guest. The guest is directly responsible for damaged or missing property.</li><li>Awning fabric, unless confirmed as not having wear or any tears prior to the rental. Awnings must be present for inspection after the booking.</li><li><span style=", sans-serif">Losses to a vehicle that is not approved for coverage, registered, and meeting Outdoorsy safety and inspection and maintenance requirements.</span></li><li>If keys were not provided to a verified driver at the start of the booking, host coverage will be denied.</li><li>Interior damage is not covered under the Outdoorsy Comprehensive and Collision coverage, optional<a href="https://www.outdoorsy.com/help/damage-protection"> Damage Protection coverage</a> can be purchased by the guest for interior damage protection.</li><li>Our coverage does not extend to vehicles if the vehicle enters or attempts to enter Mexico.</li><li>Coverage may not be extended to losses resulting from vandalism or theft if a police report is not submitted. Police reports should be obtained immediately following the loss by the guest.</li><li>A Police report is required for any incident involving third parties.</li><li>Loss of use, lost revenue, business interruption, loss of personal use, and transportation costs resulting from damages are not covered by Outdoorsy.</li><li>Items that are not factory installed at the time of manufacturing may not be covered. Examples include add-on features such as bicycle racks, etc.</li><li>Damages resulting from an intentional act, or the intentional acts of others at your or the guest&#8217;s direction.</li><li>Damages resulting from a tire blowout where the tire is faulty, defective, older than 6 years of age, damages resulting from the use of improperly sized or load-rated tires, or the use of summer tires in winter conditions are also not covered.</li><li>Any vehicle not permitted to be licensed by federal, state, or local law.</li><li>Damages resulting from the use of the vehicle off-road.</li></ul>



<h3><strong>Conditions and Provisions</strong></h3>



<h4><strong>Host Duties Prior to Loss</strong></h4>



<p>Outdoorsy reserves the right to deny coverage under its protection packages if there has not been full compliance with the <a href="https://www.outdoorsy.com/help/outdoorsy-terms-and-conditions">Outdoorsy Terms of Service</a>, and the following duties:&nbsp;</p>



<ul><li><strong>Ensure vehicle is approved for coverage: </strong>Prior to any bookings the host is responsible for ensuring that the listed vehicle has passed our insurance approval process.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li><strong>90-day inspections: </strong>Hosts are responsible for ensuring inspections are completed within 90 days of every booking. Vehicle inspections must be completed and documented by a certified mechanic. If inspections are completed by the host in lieu of a mechanic, photos or any other applicable documentation may be requested and required in addition to the inspection form in order for coverage to be considered. Any vehicle not permitted to be licensed by federal, state, or local law.</li><li><strong>Keys provided to a verified driver: </strong>At the start of a booking it is the host&#8217;s responsibility to review the verified drivers under the booking details on the Outdoorsy dashboard. The host must provide keys to a verified driver or host coverage may be denied.&nbsp;</li><li><strong>Pre-trip and Post-trip inspections and photos:</strong> Immediately prior to releasing the vehicle the host is responsible for completing a full inspection of the interior and exterior of the vehicle with the guest and must take photos to document its condition immediately prior to departure and immediately upon return.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ul>



<h4><strong>Host Duties After Loss</strong></h4>



<p>In addition to the pre-loss requirements, the host also has a responsibility to meet the following after-loss duties if seeking coverage:&nbsp;</p>



<ul><li><strong>Prompt notice of loss:</strong> All damages must be reported to Outdoorsy within 48 hours of the end of the booking. Notice should also include the names and contact information of any additional parties involved.  If the loss is a result of theft or vandalism, prompt notification to the police is also required.</li><li><strong>Mitigate damages:</strong> Reasonable steps must be taken to protect the vehicle from additional damages after a loss. It is the host&#8217;s responsibility to ensure no additional damage is sustained while the claim is investigated. Outdoorsy will pay reasonable expenses incurred to mitigate damages with the submission of receipts and/or invoices.</li><li><strong>Submit proof of loss and proof of ownership documentation:</strong> In order to investigate the claim we will require a claim statement filed under the Outdoorsy dashboard, the submission of pre and post-trip photos as stipulated above to substantiate any claim, copies of your most recent 90-day inspection based on Outdoorsy’s requirements, as well as a document confirming proof of ownership. <ul><li>Proof of ownership examples: a copy of your title / registration, a letter from your lienholder, a bill of sale, or a purchase agreement.</li></ul></li><li><strong>Make vehicle available:</strong> In addition to the initial photo submission, the host will need to permit us to inspect and appraise the damaged property during our investigation before its repair or disposal.</li><li><strong>Cooperating with the investigation: </strong>The vehicle owner has agreed to cooperate with and assist Outdoorsy in good faith during the investigation per the Outdoorsy Terms and Conditions.&nbsp;</li></ul>



<h4><strong>Abandonment and Salvage</strong></h4>



<p>In the event of a loss deemed as repairable, the damaged property cannot be abandoned to Outdoorsy by the insured in order to seek full value. However, if it is determined that the repair cost exceeds the vehicle&#8217;s Actual Cash Value, Outdoorsy may take possession of the damaged vehicle and retain the right to salvage it.</p>



<h4><strong>Arbitration Agreement</strong></h4>



<p>In the event of a payment or coverage dispute, Outdoorsy will attempt to resolve disputes with the affected parties. If an agreement cannot be reached or in the event of a dispute with Outdoorsy, the dispute will be handled via arbitration per the Outdoorsy Terms and Conditions.</p>



<h4><strong>Fraud</strong></h4>



<p>Outdoorsy retains the right to not provide coverage for any party who has made fraudulent statements or engaged in fraudulent conduct in order to seek coverage under our protection packages.&nbsp;</p>



<h1><strong>Limitations</strong></h1>



<h4><strong>Limit of Liability</strong></h4>



<p>Outdoorsy will pay the lesser of the Actual Cash Value of the approved vehicle or the amount necessary to repair or replace the property with other property of like kind and quality as determined and approved by Outdoorsy’s chosen licensed appraiser.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>



<p>The guest is not responsible for any additional repairs or expenses exceeding the limit of the Outdoorsy coverage related to loan payoffs, additional repairs, etc.&nbsp;</p>



<h4><strong>Actual Cash Value</strong></h4>



<p>Physical damage claims paid under comprehensive and collision coverage are paid up to the Actual Cash Value, or ACV, in the event of a total loss. ACV is determined by establishing a baseline value based on similar vehicles in the host&#8217;s geographical region. Then based on a variety of things potentially including mileage, condition, upgrades, inspection, etc. that value will be adjusted accordingly to determine the ACV for the specific vehicle.&nbsp;</p>



<h4><strong>Quality Replacement Parts</strong></h4>



<p>Our appraisers will write estimates utilizing quality replacement parts. We will attempt to put the host&#8217;s RV back in the condition it was in prior to the accident, and we are confident that can be done with the parts that are listed on our estimate. If there is a reason that Original Equipment Manufacturer, or OEM, parts are needed, the host&#8217;s repair shop can submit a supplement to our appraisal team to discuss and come to an agreed price.</p>



<h4><strong>Betterment</strong></h4>



<p>Our coverage is designed to put your vehicle back in the position it was prior to the damages; no better and no worse. Over time the value of various parts and components will depreciate.&nbsp; Our coverage will cover the cost of the actual damage sustained, not the cost to improve the vehicle’s condition to better than its pre-loss condition.</p>



<h4><strong>Vandalism and Theft</strong></h4>



<p>We reserve the right to require a police report for damage as a result of vandalism or theft during the rental period. The police report needs to be filed within 48 hours of the reported incident by the guest or the host, and the claim needs to be reported to Outdoorsy within 48 hours of the end of the booking or the return of the vehicle. Failure to provide a police report may result in the denial of a claim at the discretion of the Outdoorsy claims team.&nbsp;</p>



<h4><strong>Other Insurance</strong></h4>



<p>The Outdoorsy coverage will cover hosts as primary for losses covered under the policy during the rental. Guests’ personal insurance will act as primary to any coverage they have purchased through Outdoorsy. If other sources of recovery also cover the loss, Outdoorsy reserves the right to pursue recovery of any claim payments.</p>



<h4><strong>Towing Expenses</strong></h4>



<p>The Outdoorsy coverage does not include transportation costs. However, in the event that the vehicle is disabled due to a covered loss and roadside is unable to assist in moving the vehicle, Outdoorsy may assist in covering a tow to the nearest repair facility. If the vehicle needs to be relocated to the shop of choice or to a specialized repairer, Outdoorsy is not liable for any additional towing costs.</p>



<h1><strong>Additional Supplementary Coverages</strong></h1>



<h4><strong>Delivery Coverage</strong></h4>



<p>Outdoorsy will provide additional coverage on bookings where the delivery feature has been activated. The Comprehensive &amp; Collision coverage will be extended to cover the delivery route, without additional stops on the start date of the booking. Under this additional coverage, the host is responsible for the deductible during the delivery route which will match the guest&#8217;s elected deductible per their bundle. You will also be eligible for liability coverage that will match the minimum financial requirement in the state you are delivering in. Please note: The delivery driver must be the listed host in order to qualify for this coverage and coverage does not extend to pickup.</p>

<p>For details specific to each booking, including a copy of the booking receipt please log in to your personal Outdoorsy dashboard. All listed hosts and booked guests have agreed to the Terms and Conditions which outline additional insurance and company policies. Physical Damage Coverage for Outdoorsy Hosts (US Rentals)

<h4><strong>Covered Guests</strong></h4>



<p>A guest qualifies for protection for Outdoorsy bookings when they purchase a Protection Package and pass our verification process, which includes a background check along with ID verification, and must be over 25 years of age. Even if a person passes our verification process, any violation of our guest requirements or Terms of Service voids coverage.</p>



<h4><strong>Protection Packages&nbsp;</strong></h4>



<p>Guests can choose between three different Protection Packages (Essential, Preferred, or Peace of Mind).</p>



<p>Each package offers physical damage, liability, and an array of additional services. Guests will choose from these packages during the booking process on eligible rentals. Deductibles vary based on the protection package selected and the class of vehicle rented. <h4><strong>Covered Vehicles</strong></h4>



<p>Guests are responsible for ensuring that the booking details indicate the vehicle has been approved for coverage on their Outdoorsy dashboard and that a protection package has been purchased and applied for coverage to be in place. Guests must also confirm that they passed the Outdoorsy verification process for the rented vehicle to qualify as covered.</p>



<h4><strong>Episodic Coverage</strong></h4>



<p>Outdoorsy provides episodic coverage under this policy for losses that occur exclusively during the rental period. The protection period for guest coverage extends from the time of key handoff to the guest on the start date of the booking, until the vehicle return and key handoff on the final scheduled booking date. These packages will not cover damages that cannot be confirmed as having occurred during the rental period.</p>



<h4><strong>Territories of Coverage</strong></h4>

The deductible will apply on a per-loss basis to both comprehensive and collision losses. Outdoorsy will apply any available <a href="https://www.outdoorsy.com/help/what-is-the-security-deposit-how-does-it-work">security deposit</a> to the deductible after host deductions for related booking fees and will recover any deductible balance from the guest.&nbsp;</p>

<h1><strong>Insuring Agreements</strong></h1>



<h4><strong>Covered Perils</strong></h4>



<p>Outdoorsy will pay for sudden, direct, and accidental loss to the listed vehicle for perils covered under our Comprehensive &amp; Collision coverage. Payments will be issued to the legal owner of a listed vehicle unless otherwise specified by the legal owner.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>



<p>Our collision coverage will cover when damages are sustained to the rental as the result of an impact on an object or another vehicle or the upset of the vehicle.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>



<p>Comprehensive (sometimes called Other than Collision) coverage would cover the following: falling objects, fire, theft or larceny, explosion or earthquake, windstorm, hail, water or flood, malicious mischief or vandalism, riot or civil commotion, contact with bird or animal, or breakage of glass.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>



<p>All covered perils are subject to investigation and determination by our claims team.&nbsp;</p>



<h1><strong>Exclusions</strong></h1>



<p>The Outdoorsy policy will cover comprehensive and collision damages to the vehicle caused by a covered peril. However, as with any insurance policy, there are necessary exclusions to the coverage. Outdoorsy’s policy does not cover the following:&nbsp;</p>



<ol><li>Losses caused by mechanical or electrical breakdown or failure, wear and tear, lack of maintenance, or damages occurring over time, are not covered. This includes resulting damages from a covered peril that was found to be caused by failure or breakdown. (Example: If a fire is found to be caused by a mechanical failure, the resulting fire damage is not covered.)</li><li>Damages resulting from the manufacturer or prior repair defects.&nbsp;</li><li>Damages resulting from war, riot, nuclear or radioactive contamination.</li><li>Damages to any electronic equipment or accessories designed for the reproduction of sound, that send or receive audio, visual, or data signals unless required for the normal operation of the vehicle.</li><li>Loss of personal property belonging to either host or guest. The guest is directly responsible for damaged or missing property.&nbsp;</li><li>Awning fabric (unless confirmed as not having wear or any tears prior to the rental).&nbsp;</li><li>Loss to the listed vehicle resulting from operating at excessive speeds or while participating in any form of racing.</li><li>Damages resulting from operating the vehicle off of paved roadways, or in any activity other than the vehicle’s designed or intended purpose.</li><li>Damages incurred due to negligence on the part of the guest, or operation and care of the vehicle contrary to Outdoorsy’s terms and conditions.&nbsp;</li><li>Damage caused by pets or livestock owned by the guest or members of their party, or permitted to enter the vehicle intentionally or as a result of the guest&#8217;s negligence.</li><li>Guest coverage will be denied if the vehicle is found to be operated by an unapproved driver at the time of loss. If keys were not provided to a verified driver at the start of the booking, host coverage may also be denied.&nbsp;</li><li>Interior damage is not covered under the Outdoorsy Comprehensive and Collision coverage, optional&nbsp;Damage Protection coverage can be purchased by the guest for interior damage protection.&nbsp;</li><li>Our coverage does not extend to rentals entering or attempting to enter Mexico.</li><li>Coverage will not be extended to losses resulting from vandalism or theft if a police report is not submitted. A police report must be obtained immediately following the loss.</li><li>A police report is required for any incident involving third parties.</li><li>Loss of use, loss of personal use, alternative accommodation, and transportation costs resulting from damages are not covered by Outdoorsy.&nbsp;</li><li>Items that are not factory installed at the time of manufacturing may not be covered. Examples include add-on features such as bicycle racks, etc.&nbsp;</li><li>Damages resulting from an intentional act, or the intentional acts of others at your or the host&#8217;s direction.</li><li>Any damage that occurs while in violation of local, state, and federal laws, including DUIs and reckless driving.</li><li>Any damage incurred while operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol, drugs, other substances, or medication that may impair your judgment even with a prescription. If the booking is for stationary delivery, coverage is excluded and void if the guest moves the vehicle at any time during the booking.</li></ol>

<h1><strong>Conditions and Provisions</strong></h1>



<h4><strong>Guest Duties Prior to Loss</strong></h4>



<p>Outdoorsy reserves the right to deny payment if there has not been full compliance with the following duties:&nbsp;</p>



<ol><li>Ensure the vehicle is approved for coverage and protection package has been purchased: Prior to any bookings the guest is responsible for ensuring that a protection package was purchased and paid for and that the booking details on their Outdoorsy dashboard reflect coverage approved.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>All drivers are verified: It is the guest&#8217;s responsibility to ensure that all members of the party who will be operating the vehicle complete the driver verification process and are listed as approved for coverage. If a non-verified driver damages the vehicle the Outdoorsy guest coverage will be denied and the guest will be responsible for the full damages.&nbsp;</li><li>Pre-trip inspection and post-trip: Immediately prior to releasing the vehicle the guest is responsible for completing a full inspection of the interior and exterior of the vehicle. We require photos and/or videos of any existing damages or defects at this time.&nbsp;</li></ol>



<h4><strong>Guest Duties After Loss</strong></h4>



<p>In addition to the pre-loss requirements, the guest also has a responsibility to meet the following after-loss duties if seeking coverage:&nbsp;</p>



<ol><li>Prompt notice of loss: All damages must be reported to Outdoorsy immediately. The guest will be fully responsible for all damages in the event that the guest does not notify the host and Outdoorsy immediately of any damages. Notice should also include the names and contact information of any additional parties involved. For additional filing details please visit <a href="https://www.outdoorsy.com/help/how-do-i-file-a-claim" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">How do I file a claim?</a> If the loss is a result of theft or vandalism, prompt notification to the police is also required by either host or guest.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Notify host of damages: In the event damages are sustained the guest is responsible for notifying the host immediately and communicating with the host to reach an agreement on the next steps for temporary repairs, return of vehicle, or decision to move forward if damages are minimal and do not affect the safe operation of the vehicle.&nbsp;</li><li>Mitigate damages: Reasonable steps must be taken to protect the vehicle from additional damages after a loss until the return of the vehicle. For example, if the damages have caused a puncture and there is a possibility of rain, it is the guest&#8217;s responsibility to cover the puncture to ensure no additional damage is sustained while in possession of the vehicle. Outdoorsy will reimburse reasonable expenses incurred to mitigate damages with submission of receipts and/or invoices.</li><li>Submit proof of loss: In order to investigate the claim we will require a claim statement completed and any available photos or documentation submitted, including contact information for any witnesses or additional impacted parties.&nbsp;</li><li>Cooperating with the investigation: The guest agrees to cooperate with and assist Outdoorsy in good faith during the investigation by agreeing to the <a href="https://www.outdoorsy.com/help/outdoorsy-terms-and-conditions" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Outdoorsy Terms and Conditions</a>&nbsp;at the time of booking.&nbsp;</li></ol>



<h4><strong>Arbitration Agreement</strong></h4>



<p>In the event of a payment or insurance dispute, Outdoorsy will attempt to resolve disputes with the affected parties. If an agreement cannot be reached or in the event of a dispute with Outdoorsy, the dispute will be handled via arbitration per the Outdoorsy Terms and Conditions.&nbsp;</p>



<h4><strong>Fraud and Misrepresentation</strong></h4>



<p>Outdoorsy retains the right to not provide coverage for any party who has made fraudulent statements, engaged in fraudulent conduct, or provided material misrepresentation in order to seek coverage under our policy.&nbsp;</p>



<h1><strong>Limitations</strong></h1>



<h4><strong>Limit of Liability</strong></h4>



<p>Guest liability for damages does not exceed the deductible providing the claim is accepted and coverage is approved. If the guest violates the Outdoorsy Terms and Conditions or any section of this policy, the guest is liable for the full value of the loss, regardless of deductible.</p>



<h4><strong>Actual Cash Value</strong></h4>



<p>Physical damage claims paid under comprehensive and collision coverage are paid up to ACV (Actual Cash Value) in the event of a total loss. ACV is determined by establishing a baseline value based on similar vehicles in the host&#8217;s geographical region. Then based on a variety of things potentially including mileage, condition, upgrades, inspection, etc. that value will be adjusted accordingly to determine the ACV for the specific vehicle.&nbsp;</p>



<h4><strong>Quality Replacement Parts (QRP)</strong></h4>



<p>Our appraisers will write estimates utilizing quality replacement parts. We owe to put the host&#8217;s RV back in the condition it was in prior to the accident, and we are confident that can be done with the parts that are listed on our estimate. If there is a reason that OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts are needed, the host&#8217;s repair shop can submit a supplement to our appraisal team to discuss and come to an agreed price.</p>



<h4><strong>Betterment</strong></h4>



<p>Our policy is designed to put your vehicle back in the position it was prior to the damages, no better and no worse. Over time the value of various parts and components will depreciate. Our coverage will cover the cost of the actual damage sustained, not the cost to improve the vehicle’s condition to better than its pre-loss condition. For example, if a portion of a floor is damaged we would cover the cost to repair the damaged section, not the cost to replace the entire floor. The application of betterment policies will be subject to state-specific regulations.</p>



<h4><strong>Vandalism and Theft</strong></h4>



<p>We reserve the right to require a police report for damage as a result of vandalism or theft during the rental period. The police report needs to be filed within 48 hours of the reported incident by the guest or the host, and the claim needs to be reported to Outdoorsy within 48 hours of the end of the booking. Failure to provide a police report may result in the denial of a claim at the discretion of the Outdoorsy claims team.&nbsp;</p>



<h4><strong>Other Insurance</strong></h4>



<p>Guest&#8217;s personal insurance will act as primary to any coverage they have purchased through Outdoorsy. If other sources of recovery also cover the loss, Outdoorsy reserves the right to pursue recovery of any claim payments.</p>



<h4><strong>Towing Expenses</strong></h4>



<p>The Outdoorsy coverage does not include transportation costs. However, in the event that the vehicle is disabled due to a covered loss and roadside is unable to assist in moving the vehicle, Outdoorsy may assist in covering a tow to the nearest repair facility. If the vehicle needs to be relocated to the shop of choice or to a specialized repairer, Outdoorsy is not liable for any additional towing costs.&nbsp;</p>

<h4><strong>Stationary/Delivery Coverage</strong></h4>



<p>Outdoorsy will provide guest protection for stationary rentals. This means the host and guest agree to a delivery at a specific location and the guest further agrees the vehicle will not move from that location until the host arrives to pick up the vehicle at the end of the booking. The guest agrees that if they move the vehicle all coverage for the booking is void.</p>

Physical Damage Coverage for Outdoorsy Guests (US Rentals)

<p>Outdoorsy includes windshield coverage in all of our protection packages. Renters purchase these packages to cover the rented vehicle during the rental period.</p>
<p>If windshield damage caused by a collision or comprehensive event occurs during the rental period, Outdoorsy&#8217;s windshield coverage may:</p>

<li>Repair chips or cracks not in the field of vision at no additional cost to the renter or owner.</li>
<li>Replace the windshield, in which case the renter will pay a deductible.</li>

Outdoorsy’s protection is fully integrated and requires no additional effort outside of basic vehicle information from the owner and a renter background check for each rental. Outdoorsy’s coverage extends to all states (except New York), as well as vehicles traveling into Canada. (Our insurance does not extend into Mexico).</span></p>

How many people are allowed to drive the vehicle?

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Just key your desired dates and location into the search field on Outdoorsy.com to discover a host of awesome RVs. If you like a listing, click &#8220;Request Booking&#8221;, and the owner will approve or deny your request. When approved, you’ll be prompted to pay the reservation deposit. You can also add Outdoorsy roadside assistance at any point up until the pickup date for $15/day.</span></p>

How do I book a vehicle?

<p>Yes! Not only that, but international travelers are covered under our insurance program. Many of our international travelers love this about Outdoorsy since it allows them to rent more unique rentals for their adventure instead of the typical cookie-cutter RV rental companies. All qualified renters, domestic and international, are covered for rentals in the U.S. and Canada. Mexico is not covered.</p>
<p>To qualify for coverage, all international renters are required to complete a Driver check through Outdoorsy, for which an international driver’s permit (IDP) and a valid passport are required. In most European countries an IDP can be obtained in less than a day.</p>
<p>Outdoorsy’s turn-around time for a Driver check can range from one day to a couple of days. After requesting a booking, we will communicate the status of the verification process and driving record check to both the renter and owner.</p>
<p>There is a foreign transaction fee of 3% added to both the rental total and security deposit when using a payment card issued outside of the country in which you&#8217;re renting.</p>
<p>We’re not allowed by U.S. government regulations to insure any renter from a country where the U.S. government precludes business relationships. These countries include North Korea, Syria and any country that sponsors or supports terrorism or terrorist activities.</p>

Are international travelers allowed to rent on Outdoorsy?

<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Outdoorsy works hard to ensure that all members are safe, insured, and qualified to drive. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">To provide insurance, we have to confirm identity and driving history. We run DMV background checks across the 50 U.S. states, including Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, as well as over 100 international countries for international renters. Anyone who wants to be insured, list or rent a vehicle on Outdoorsy has to complete a DMV background check. If a renter is not approved, the booking will not qualify for Outdoorsy’s liability insurance coverage.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">For domestic requests, the background check takes only a few minutes. For international requests, it takes between 24 and 36 hours.</span></p>
<p><b>DOMESTIC</b></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Outdoorsy has established specific criteria in the DMV databases to report a &#8220;pass&#8221; or &#8220;fail&#8221; for every member checked. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">A “fail” means you don’t qualify for insurance through Outdoorsy. Reasons for failure include:</span></p>

<li style="font-weight: 400"><span style="font-weight: 400">A DUI or a suspended license </span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400"><span style="font-weight: 400">Any user who has had more than two speeding citations (over 20 mph above the legal speed limit) over the last 12 months</span></li>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400">A “pass” means:</span></p>

<li style="font-weight: 400"><span style="font-weight: 400">You are covered by our <a href="https://www.outdoorsy.com/help/owners-protection-packages">liability policy</a> and are free to rent vehicles on Outdoorsy </span></li>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400">DMV checks are re-administered every year to ensure up-to-date records for our underwriter and to best protect our vehicle owners. Driving histories are kept strictly confidential. RV owners are only informed of a “pass” or “fail”.</span></p>
<p><b>INTERNATIONAL</b></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">International renters must</span> <span style="font-weight: 400">provide a valid passport number and an International Driver’s Permit, commonly known as an IDP. In most European countries, an IDP is easy to obtain in less than a day. Contact your local motor vehicle office rules for instructions.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">OFAC Compliance: In some locales, Outdoorsy must comply with The Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the U.S. Department of the Treasury. This agency administers and enforces economic and trade sanctions based on U.S. foreign policy and national security goals against targeted foreign countries and regimes, terrorists, international narcotics traffickers, those engaged in activities related to the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, and other threats to the national security, foreign policy or economy of the United States. OFAC acts under Presidential national emergency powers, as well as authority granted by specific legislation, to impose controls on transactions and freeze assets under U.S. jurisdiction. Outdoorsy will not allow listers or renters on the site who are from countries where sanctions are in place. Outdoorsy cooperates with The United Nations and other international mandates, and works in close cooperation with allied governments.</span></p>

The prize is awarded “as is” with no warranty or guarantee, either express or implied. The right to receive the prize is not transferable, assignable, and no substitutions or cash equivalents are permitted except at Outdoorsy’s sole discretion or as otherwise provided herein.&nbsp;</p>



<p>Outdoorsy reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute a prize (or a portion of the prize) of equal or greater value for any reason. Outdoorsy will not replace the prize if it is lost or stolen. Any and all prize-related expenses, including without limitation any and all federal, state, and local taxes, shall be the sole responsibility of the winner. By accepting the prize, the winner grants its permission for Outdoorsy to use the winner’s name, social media pseudonym and city and state for purposes of advertising and trade without further consent or compensation, unless prohibited by law.</p>



<p>Outdoorsy makes no representations or warranties whatsoever as to the ability to use the prize or to book and rent any particular vehicle or stay listed on the Outdoorsy.com platform. A winner making a booking on the Outdoorsy.com platform agrees that additional criteria may be imposed by the listed vehicle’s or stay’s owner. If the booking value exceeds the US$1,000.00 credit, then the winner will be solely and completely responsible for covering the booking expenses beyond the prize amount. Such booking must purchase the maximum available insurance coverage offered through the Outdoorsy.com booking platform. Outdoorsy will not be responsible for covering additional trip costs on and/or off platform, including but not limited to, mileage overage fees, gas, campground reservations, airfare or any other costs and expenses. All bookings on the Outdoorsy.com platform must fully comply with the terms and conditions and other policies therein.</p>



<p><strong>Winner selection and notification:&nbsp;</strong></p>



<p>As described in “How to Enter,” four potential winners will be selected at the end of the Contest Period. The winners will be notified via email addresses provided on the submission. In order to receive the prize, the potential winner must return email communications with Outdoorsy’s team to set the delivery conditions of the prize. If the potential winner fails to respond to the email within 7 days or is found to be, in Outdoorsy’s sole discretion, ineligible or in violation of these Official Rules, such potential winner and his/her entry will be disqualified, and an alternate winner will be selected from all remaining eligible entries. Outdoorsy may request paperwork that the potential winner will be required to complete in order to be awarded the prize (including, but not limited to, a publicity release, tax documentation, drivers license information, evidence of insurability, and/or liability release). The failure to do so will render the potential winner ineligible. If the potential winner is under the age of 25, they will need to be accompanied on their reward trip by a verified driver (verified in Outdoorsy’s sole discretion) over the age of 25 who will be responsible for being the driver of the vehicle during the rental period and who will be legally responsible for compliance with all terms and conditions related to accepting and using the prize, including the provision of paperwork and the releases and indemnifications described in these Official Rules. The prize will be available for redemption until December 31, 2024. The receipt of the prize offered in this Contest by the potential winner is conditional upon compliance with these Official Rules and any and all applicable federal and state laws and regulations.</p>



<p><strong>General Terms:&nbsp;</strong></p>



<p>Decisions made by Outdoorsy are final and binding in all matters, including interpretation of these Official Rules and awarding of the prize. Entrants assume all risk of loss, damage, destruction, delay, or misdirection of Contest materials submitted to Outdoorsy. Outdoorsy reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Contest, or any part of it, if any virus, bugs, other technical failures, non-authorized human intervention, fraud, or any other causes beyond Outdoorsy’s control impair the administration, security, integrity, or proper functioning of the Contest, as determined by Outdoorsy in its sole discretion. Outdoorsy in its sole discretion reserves the right to disqualify any entrant it finds to be tampering with or attempting to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules. Any attempt by an entrant to deliberately damage or undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest may be a violation of criminal and civil laws, and, should such an attempt be made, Outdoorsy reserves the right to seek damages from such persons to the fullest extent permitted by law. Outdoorsy’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that term.</p>



<p><strong>Release and indemnification:&nbsp;</strong></p>



<p>By participating in the Contest, you agree to release from liability and hold harmless Outdoorsy and its parent company, affiliates, and related companies, and each of their respective officers, directors, and employees and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from and against any claim or cause of action, including, but not limited to, personal injury, death, or damage to or loss of property, arising out of participation in the Contest or the receipt or use or misuse of any prize, or from any trip booked or taken using the prize. Entrants agree to indemnify the Released Parties and any other companies associated with the Contest, including any vendors or marketing agencies, and any third parties who have provided prizing. The indemnity covers all claims made not only by potential winners, but also by anyone participating in the Contest. The indemnity covers both claims arising out of the Contest itself, and claims arising from any use of the prizes.</p>



<p><strong>Limitation of Liability:&nbsp;</strong></p>



<p>Outdoorsy is not responsible for: (1) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by entrant, printing errors, or any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest; (2) technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited to, malfunctions, delays, interruptions, or disconnections in phone lines or network hardware or software; (3) technical or human error which may occur in the administration of the Contest or the processing of entries; (4) late, lost, undeliverable, damaged, stolen, misdirected, or postage-due entries; or (5) any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, by entrant’s participation in the Contest or receipt or use or misuse of any prize, or from any trip booked or taken using the prize. This includes such failures that might result in more winners than planned are issued.</p>



<p><strong>Disputes:&nbsp;</strong></p>



<p>This Contest is governed by the laws of the United States and State of Texas without respect to conflict of law doctrines. As a condition of participating in this Contest, entrant agrees that any and all causes of action arising out of or connected with this Contest, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, exclusively and solely before a state or federal court located in Austin, Texas. Further, under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental, or consequential damages, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, and entrant further waives all rights to have damages multiplied or increased.</p>



<p><strong>Privacy Policy:&nbsp;</strong></p>



<p>Information submitted with an online entry is subject to the Privacy Policy stated on Outdoorsy’s website.</p>



<p><strong>Winner Name and Rules:&nbsp;</strong></p>

<p>Every year, thousands of people converge on Nevada’s Black Rock Desert for the annual Burning Man festival. There, “artists, makers, and community organizers who co-create art, events, and local initiatives around the world” gather to celebrate and construct the sizeable—yet temporary—Black Rock City. Over the nine-day festival, the makeshift city is built, celebrations abound, the famous wooden statute is set ablaze, and then the city is disassembled.</p>



<p>While this can be an interesting way to spend your vacation, it can also wreak havoc on your RV. In all the excitement, some festival-goers may go a little too far and your property may get damaged or vandalized. More common, an ultra-fine dust gets kicked up in the wind and coats anything in sight.</p>



<h2>Playa dust</h2>



<p>The Black Rock Desert is the site of a long lost, prehistoric lake bed and the desert playa (or just ‘playa’) is the bottom of it. The playa dries out, cracks, and creates a unique, ultra-fine dust—playa dust—that the festival is often associated with. As you might imagine, this dust can get into even the cranniest of nooks.&nbsp;</p>



<p>Festival-goers try to beat the dust by taping air vents, seams, and windows. Some cover furniture with plastic and others even wax the outside of the RV. But, playa dust is sure to get in and when it does, it is difficult to clean from the interior and exterior of your RV. It can even damage your electrical and mechanical systems.</p>



<h2>Insurance coverage 2023</h2>



<p>Because of the damage that playa dust can do to your RV and the increased risk of physical damage on the festival grounds, Burning Man remains an unauthorized festival in Outdoorsy’s terms of service. As a result, Outdoorsy insurance does not provide coverage for your RV on the festival grounds nor does it cover festival-related damage. That includes damage from playa dust to the interior, exterior, anything mechanical or electrical, or vandalism.</p>



<p>If your RV goes to Burning Man, Outdoorsy offers liability-only coverage to and from the festival to ensure your RV is road legal. But, if your RV is involved in a covered loss and your guest is at fault: your RV is not covered, only other peoples’ damaged property is covered. In addition, our liability-only coverage is provided at the state minimum level of coverage.</p>



<p>Outdoorsy’s Burning Man policy also means that our teams can only provide limited support in disputes you may have with your guest. In addition, if your guest is traveling from abroad, you will most likely be unable to collect on damages through small claims court. Candidly, if your RV goes to Burning Man, collecting for damages to your RV will be between you and your guest.</p>



<p>We understand that our Burning Man insurance policy may give you pause in accepting bookings headed for the festival. That’s okay! It’s your vehicle and you can do as you wish. <p>Calling all Outdoorsy hosts, charging for extra miles and generator hours just got easier.</p>



<p>Just look for the Record mileage and generator button on the Bookings page for the trip. This appears 2 days before the trip begins.</p>



<p>You’ll enter your mileage and / or generator readings twice.</p>



<ul><li>Enter your starting miles and / or generator hours before the trip begins.<ul><li>Take photos of your odometer and generator meter, as well.<br></li></ul></li><li>Enter your ending miles and / or generator hours when you get your vehicle back.<ul><li>Take photos again.</li></ul></li></ul>



<p>Once you enter the ending values, we’ll calculate any overage charges for you. You’ll see a breakdown of what the guest owes, based on the mileage and generator settings for your listing. At that point, you can decide whether to charge the guest or not.</p>



<p>To charge the guest, select the Process overage fee button. We’ll charge the guest’s payment method on file.</p>



<p>If you allow unlimited mileage and generator hours for a listing, you will not see anything about this new process on your Bookings pages.</p>



<p><strong>No more calculating overages yourself</strong></p>



<p>This new process gives you a fast way of seeing whether your guest used more miles or generator hours than what their rental included. And, an easy way to charge for it.</p>



<p>You can now stop using the Collect extra fees process to charge the guest’s security deposit for mileage and generator overages.&nbsp;</p>



<p>The new process also gives your guests better transparency into how many extra miles and / or hours they used. And, how much they paid for any overage.</p>



<p><strong>Reminders</strong></p>



<ul><li>You have 7 days after a trip ends to collect extra mileage and generator hour fees.<br></li><li>Charging for extra miles and generator hours is optional. If you decide not to charge the guest after seeing the overage, perhaps because it’s really low, simply ignore the Process overage fee button.</li></ul>



<ul><li>You can set both your per-day usage limits for mileage and generator and the cost for going over. To adjust your settings, go to your listing and:<br><ul><li>Select Pricing from the left-hand menu if you’re using the website.<br></li><li>Select Mileage charges or Generator charges from the menu if you’re using the app.</li></ul></li></ul>
