Rivernook Campground

If you can imagine an RV campground with only the sounds of nature flowing through it, you'll know what to expect when you go camping at Rivernook Campground. This privately owned RV park is situated next to the Kern River and has several creeks running through its property, allowing guests to be surrounded by the gentle sounds of running water. From the moment you arrive, you'll have access to restrooms with hot showers, cable TV channels, and Wi-Fi; all of these amenities will make you feel right at home. The park has a general store with food and other items you may require; if you feel like you can't wait to get out and start fishing, there is a fish cleaning area on-site to assist you after you've pulled them out of the adjacent river.

Most of the individual sites in the park have shade, and some have direct access to the river (or one of the creeks). Some of the sites have full hookups, and the rest offer partial hookups. You can rent the sites by the day or month, and there are some seasonal campers and also sites designated for tent camping. The park is open year-round, but you should call ahead to get more specific information about renting a site. Once you're settled in, you're only moments away from fine dining, local hiking trails, and even downhill skiing if you're here later in the year. The immediate surrounding area has five distinct ecosystems providing a range of colorful plant species that you will notice immediately.
