Mendota Hills Campground

Are you dreaming about a relaxing, fun vacation in the beautiful Midwest, surrounded by fields and oak trees, where you can just sit back and see where the day takes you? Sounds like you want to RV camp at Mendota Hills Campground in Amboy. The bad news is that you might never want to leave, and the good news is that all you need to do is start your search for an RV in Lee County, and you’ll be swimming and fishing in the lakes and hiking around the site in no time.

Camping at Mendota Hills Campground means that you’ll have all the comfort you need, with pull-through sites with full hookups and a camp store as well as WiFi, should you want to watch a movie or chat with your loved one back home. Not that you’ll have much time for that, not with daily activities and themed weekends. Go on wagon rides, have a campfire (you can get firewood in the store), and learn about the history of the RV park location; it started out as a sandpit for mining and has been everything from a snowmobile venue to an amusement park before turning into this amazing RV campground.

Getting a motorhome rental near Mendota Hills Campground also means that you’ll be able to explore the small city of Amboy as well as beautiful Mendota, and don’t forget about the cute village of Sublette and the larger city of Dixon. Drive past fields that seem to last forever, visit stunning areas for some outdoor recreation (yes, there are golf courses nearby), or stroll through the picturesque towns and villages. Longing for the big city? No problem, just hop into your RV rental and head to Chicago.
