Choteau, Montana, is a fantastic little community sitting near the base of the Rocky Mountain Front and about two hours' drive from the eastern entrance of Glacier National Park. Unlike some of the other towns a bit closer to the park, Choteau is relatively untouched by the tourist industry and has retained its small-town Montana charm. If you’re looking for a place to camp with an RV near Choteau, you can’t do much better than Choteau Mountain View Campground just east of town.
The campground has a few dozen sites for motorhome camping with full hookups, including 30 and 50 amp electrical connections. If your RV rental doesn’t require the full-service experience, you can get water and electrical hookups and use the campgrounds dump station to empty the holding tanks. There are also restrooms, showers, and laundry facilities that you can access while RV camping at Choteau Mountain View Campground.
Though the campground and Choteau have all the essentials for a campervan rental trip, the city of Great Falls is just an hour's drive away. It’s one of Montana’s largest cities and has a much larger selection of restaurants, shopping, and entertainment.
