Douglas Headwater Campground

Douglas Headwater Campground is located in eastern Tennessee, on the estuary of the French Broad River into Douglas Lake. The campground is nestled on the shore, near the dam, and many campsites have lake views. This Sevierville campground is in proximity to some of Tennessee's best cities; Jefferson City is only about half an hour's drive north, and Knoxville is approximately half an hour's drive west.

Douglas Headwater RV sites come with electric and water hookups, and some sites have sewer connections, too. Tent camping is also an option here. Campers will have access to a dump station, clean restrooms and showers, firewood, picnic tables, and cellular signal. Recreational facilities include playgrounds and a swimming beach, and water activities to enjoy here include swimming, kayaking, canoeing, and water skiing.

The RV campground has two sections, divided by a boat ramp. The one-mile-long Trotter Bluff hiking trail starts near the entrance to the campground. While hiking, you can see wildlife, birds, and enjoy the beautiful forest. Sevier County Park is within walking distance of the campground. Here, you can have a picnic, go hiking, biking, or relaxing by the water. Some of the best attractions in Tennessee are close to the campground, like the Smoky Mountains, Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Townsend.
