Perry KOA

When renting an RV in northern Florida, consider booking a site at Perry KOA. This family-owned and operated RV campground is located right in the heart of the Big Bend area where you can enjoy an unspoiled oasis only minutes away from civilization. This campground has a clubhouse with a foosball table, games and puzzles, and cable TV channels; it also has a swimming pool where you can cool off after your arrival and each day's adventures. If you like playing horseshoes, there is a pitch; and kids will enjoy the playground and basketball court.

The individual RV sites are spacious, and some have extra room to accommodate you. Once you've arrived, the laundry facilities are at your disposal, and you can freshen up at the restrooms which have hot showers. Some of the sites have back-in access, but most are pull-through, and most have full hookups (a small number have water and electric hookups only). The camp store has propane and firewood for sale, and there is a dog park for your furry family members. If your campervan rental has limited space for cooking (or if you just want to get fancy and need some additional space to do so), the park has a Kamping Kitchen too.

Once you're all set up, you can take your Perry rental RV and see what else is available. Florida has a long and important history and, fortunately, nearby Forest Capital Museum State Park documents the state's history well. This museum is outdoors and begins with a majestic canopy of longleaf pine trees and a walking trail that winds through them to a 19th-century Cracker homestead. The iconic building is representative of the homes that were once scattered throughout Florida. You can take your own self-guided tour, but it will be even more rewarding if you request an interpretive tour guided by a park ranger.
