About Chance's RV rentals
We are Chance and Rebecca Bishop. Camping and RV’ing was already a big part of our lives when we met, fell in love and got married. We were both full-time RV’ers! We consolidated into one RV when we got married and decided to try renting the other as a short-term rental. From there sprang our best adventure! What better way to share our love of camping, then to have our own fleet that others can rent from and share in the RV experience. From that first RV, we have grown to 3 in our personal fleet and now offer rental management for any RV owner interested in earning some extra money when they aren’t using it for their own adventures! We pride ourselves in being a firefighter (Chance) family-owned company. We would love to help make your family’s next vacation a memorable one!

Unfortunately the RV was not working as described. Would not recommend for boondocking until the issues are addressed. The internal generator was broken so we were given an external generator which also stopped working halfway through the trip. I believe we were not fully informed of how to maintain battery life, so our battery was dead for most of the trip, and required someone to jump the vehicle for us. We were only running the fridge, lights, and the AC and the battery could not handle it, but we were told it would be fine with that level of usage. The sink had not been properly cleaned prior to our trip as well.

The renter was Canceled on last minute she book the day before, had no issues with unit previous trip.
I answered all the questions she had got unit working, for what I was aware of. Can’t fix what I don’t know.
I gave a discount for the issues to get a 2 star, rather not have a review..

Chance was very communicative with us and so generous. The RV wasn’t organized but if you poked around you could find almost anything you needed or a good substitute. The beds were comfortable, they both have foam type toppers. We turned on the TVs but didn’t put any energy into making them functional. One TV has a DVD player so pack a movie or two. The RV has everything you need to keep it swept out and clean. We had a 4 hour drive both ways, and camped at an RV park. We didn’t have any issues and we had everything we needed. Our family trip to Port Aransas and back was truly magical!

Chase and his wife (sorry I didnt catch the name) were kind and helpful, wxplained everything when we got the trailer and were helpful when we ran into some problems.

None, very disappointing experience with this RV. Not clean, numerous maintenance issues, broken slides, broken shower handle, missing sofa bed mattress, leaks water, etc. I would not recommend anyone consider renting this RV. I did appreciate Chance’s support from the road to address some issues and a credit in the end. This helped but our RV experience may have been ruined permanently.

This RV is in rough shape. The AC and heater worked fine no issues with that the entire time. Overall, lots of maintenance items need to be done before this is rent ready.

Nothing on the RV worked. The awning was unable to be used. The back door was unable to be used. The couch was ripped up. The blinds in the Dining area didn’t work. The master closet doors were not working. All of the doors were jammed and very hard to open. The door to the rear bathroom was completely broke off the tracks and there was no privacy. There was also dirty bedding left up in the loft area from the previous renter. When speaking with the owner regarding all the issues and my concerns I was told that it’s camping, things break. I was told I probably shouldn’t rent from them again.

We have booked through Outdoorsy 2 years in a row for the same event…pickup and drop off in Bastrop is very convenient…this year as last the amenities listed were not what was provided. The rv this year was missing the awning and the steps into the rv was inoperable…that said the worst was a shredded tire and all tires psi well below recommended levels…very dangerous…rv had not been cleaned and old food was found under a mattress.

My family had a great time this weekend. RV was comfortable and worked out great. The pick up and drop off were easy and they worked with me on getting back as the traffic was much worse than expected heading back to town.

Everything went well except I feel like I overpaid. RV was listed and marketed for “dry camping” because of solar energy system. Anticipating Texas heat, I was drawn to the solar capability. Turns out RV did not have solar system and I was not told until pickup. I was mislead by both Outdoorsy and Chase as there were opportunities to make me aware of solar status.

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS GUY.
We rented the RV 10 days beforehand for the Formula 1 Race at austin, TX.
We traveled all the way from Miami with our hopes high for an amazing 4 day weekend, but thanks to people like Chance, that probably because of his name he left everything to chance...
The day we landed the nightmare started, he messaged us that the generator wasn't working, that the RV was at the mechanic (imagine 8 guys just landed an this Guy tells you that the RV is not ready) with 10 days to either cancel our rental so we could use another company.
Anyways, I attached all of the texts.
1- No Generator
2- No AC
3- No Water heater - We couldn't take a hot shower in 5 days.
4- Refrigerator wasnt working either, all of out groceries went bad.
5- RV was super dirty.
When we told him about this he said his assistant was going to come to fix the issues but they never showed up.
I honestly don't get it. Imagine having 10 days to let us know, prep the RV but no, this guy thought that he could get away with this. We paid +$500/ day for this crappy RV, now we want a FULL REFUND.

Client was told the day before they picked up the rental that there was an issue with the on board generator(they didn’t respond), and we didn’t want to cancel on them last minute, so We provided an auxiliary generator for free to mitigate this issue with the unit.
