About Rene and Heather Herrera
Hi, we are Rene and Heather and we love being active and outdoors! We have explored beaches up and down Cali. mountains and deserts of Cali, Utah, AZ, NV, and CO. These are just a few of the places we have ventured with Scout. Mammoth was fun because we posted up and could board right up to the rig for breaks and drinks. I have to say the bed is very comfy! Our pets and kids love traveling with Sout too! We still have lots of exploring to do!

This was our first trip in a campervan — we had so much fun that it will not be our last. Rene patiently taught me how to use all the systems in the van. We found the van clean, well-equipped, and fun to drive. The bed is unbelievably comfortable (made me think we need to upgrade our mattress at home). We spent five nights in Joshua Tree and Anza-Borrego and were surprised how awesome it felt to be able to reach some beautiful out-of-the-way spots, but still be close to our temporary home!

We cannot say enough positive things about our trip with the Scout van. It was so practical and had everything we could need for a successful van trip. The bench seat fit both our infant and toddler car seats which made for a family friendly adventure. The bed was super comfortable and when not in use the extra cushions made for a comfy lounge area in the back. It was surprisingly easy to drive, roomy and very clean. Renee was a really responsive and informative host who threw in special extra touches like a stuffed animal to travel on the adventure with our children and a box of chocolates! We drove to Colorado, the Grand Canyon and back to San Diego and had a blast! It’s a great option for a small family of four, highly recommend!
