The vehicle is new, well appointed, and the owner communicated well, however mechanical issues really took away from my enjoyment of my trip. The rv batteries were not able to be charged by the engine due to a broken alternator. Because of this, I was unable to sleep in the van due to inability to run the ac/fan, I could not store any drinks or perishables in the refrigerator, and I had to be very careful to gain enough solar charge each day that I could continue to run the water pump. Other mechanical issues were minor. If this alternator issue was fixed it would be 5/5, however this issue really detracted from my trip.

Adam and Elisabeth were so welcoming upon arrival! They did a great job of running through all the innerworkings so we wouldn't be left in the dust at the campsite. They were also available and quick to answer when we had questions at the campsite the first day. The van was as advertised! Drove easy (like a van) for our 2 and 1/2 hour drive with good gas mileage. The battery system really came through and worked as needed for our full kitchen needs and A/C needs in the hot days we camped. Water was full (and filtered to drink!) when we picked it up, and the dumping of the grey and black water was a lot easier than anticipated. If you want all the amenities of an RV without all the hassle and intimidation of a full scale, bigger RV this van is for you! Plus you're renting it from a couple that treated my wife and I like guests at their house!

Adam and Elizabeth were excellent hosts for our weeklong RV rental. As a first time driver I was a bit nervous, however, the van was super easy to drive. Great gas mileage too. We spent the week in Yosemite. It got cold at night but we were super warm with the down blankets and heater. Really appreciated the time the hosts spent reviewing how to use the camper and with the communication we received while we were on vacation. Would definitely rent again.

Wonderful adventure in Death Valley travelling in style! All amenities are as described well. We started here in San Diego by meeting Adam who gave us all the insight we needed. He was super accomodating and assisted up with prep for our trip to Death Valley. Thor is a 4-wheel drive van and was a dream to drive. Very comfortable captain seats too! Equipped with wifi and a tv but proud to say we didn't use either of them :) It gave us the freedom we wanted to go where we wanted to and set up camp easily. The van has almost everything you could need. We can't wait to do this again soon!

This was our first experience with a Sprinter and we loved it! Adam was responsive, friendly and a joy to work with, starting with inviting us over to look at the vehicle when we were deciding what to rent. We drove up the California coast for 9 days and stayed in a variety of parks, campgrounds and friends' homes. Everywhere we parked people stopped and wanted to ask questions and take a peak inside. This is a beautiful vehicle and a definite head-turner.
We were very pleased with how easy it was to drive. Yes, it's larger and has a higher center of gravity than a car, but if you can drive an SUV you can comfortably drive this. Both my wife and I were at ease behind the wheel, parking and even backing up (it has fabulous back up cameras).
The seats are extremely comfortable. We drove 1,600 miles and were not "road weary."
The inside is definitely compact, but makes great use of the space. We were able to prepare food (microwave, refrigerator, two gas burners, sink) and they provide a nice array of glasses, dishes, pans, silverware and even a hot water pot and a pour-over coffee carafe. There is very reliable WiFi and we enjoyed a fun evening watching movies on the flat screen tv. Privacy is excellent as every window has a fitted cover that blocks out light.
Alex gave us a good briefing on the mechanics and we were at ease using the water pump and heater, the propane system and the septic system (which was MUCH easier to empty than we had feared). It was such a convenience to have toilet facilities on board. The shower would do in a pinch, but is very compact, so may not be feasible for folks on the taller side.
The bed is in the very back and requires a bit of a climb to get into. They have provided a very comfortable mattress and super cozy bedding. We fit just fine, but anyone taller than 5' 8" might not be able to stretch out.
All in all this was a fabulous experience (what can beat waking up with Redwoods right outside your door?) and we can't wait for our next Sprinter adventure!
