Unfortunately our trip turned out to be a big disappointment.
It started really nice with good and clear explanations from the owner. Trailer was clean and in good conditions.
The only broken thing was a sensor showing black water container. Owner claimed that it’s empty and sensor is broken that’s why it’s showing that it’s full.Unfortunately trailer leaked rain water on our first night. We spend hours trying to protect it including our belongings. We had to set up a tarp that only worked when the extension was fully in, which made the trailer unusable. We had to find another place to sleep. We didn’t use washroom at all and grey water that we used in the kitchen sink to wash dishes from the captured rain, we drained into the field. Upon returning owner drained the black water claiming it was ours and charged us additional $100.They also charged us standard $65 for cleaning. I asked if that could be reimbursed as we spend hours cleaning the rain water and trying to save the trailer plus our own stuff got wet.Owner refused.We did get back our money for the 2 nights we had the trailer but we still end up paying for the insurance, cleaning and someone else’s sewage.Owner didn’t make things easier for us either. First she claimed we did something wrong, than she threatened me that the damages could be put as my responsibility due to negligence. That really stresses us out even more.Over all our vacation were ruined.
I don’t believe the owner knew about the leak although the roof had few patches already and the membrane that is currently on it is not from the factory (picture included).If it was me renting it to someone I would give a full, not partial refund and apologies for the trouble.
