The van and host were awesome.

We had a great time on our trip (Salt Lake City fo Elko, NV and back). The van is high-tech and the all-terrain tires and 4-wheel drive provide confidence, especially in inclement weather. The owner (and his partner who handled the logistics while he was out of town) were very responsive and personable.

I would suggest really familiarizing yourself with the coach controls (especially the heating and battery systems) before setting out on your journey, as these systems can be a bit tricky. Also, the van could have been better stocked ahead of time. For example, there was a fourth of a roll of toilet paper on board, no salt and pepper or utensils, and both lighters were depleted of butane (but luckily there a couple boxes of matches for lighting the stove). And the fridge handle seemed to be broken, which made it a bit tricky to open.

Despite these minor annoyances, I would recommend renting this van because it’s a great vehicle and because the owner got back to us right away when we had questions.

We took Thor to Moab and it was perfect. Great size to maneuver around in and great bed. Matt was attentive, available and super nice to work with.
