Memories made on trips with Cory Konzen's RVs

This was our first time renting an RV and unfortunately it was not a good experience. Things started off well and Corey was very nice and informative. The RV had plenty of supplies other than toilet paper. Shortly after departure we ran into tons of issues. The water tank was empty and we had a difficult time finding a place to get water. There were two hose in the RV but every water supply we found the hose weren’t long enough. We were delayed getting on the road for two hours trying to get water. Every seat in the RV is worn out and the coating on the chairs rubs off on everything that touches it. There needs to be seat covers on every seat or have the upholstery replaced because the debris gets on everything and gets everywhere. It is very uncomfortable. We were all covered in it by the time we got there. The sink in the kitchen does not work but instead sprays water under the sink where we stored a bag of food. The whole bag had to be thrown out. Once we got to our destination we put the jacks down to unload and when we went to retract the jacks they would not come back up. Corey tried to help over the phone but we ended up having to call roadside assistance. They didn’t send someone out until the next day at 4pm and we almost got put out of our vacation rental because we were supposed to park the RV in a designated area. We went back and forth with roadside assistance because they were trying to make us pay out of pocket for the service even though we paid for coverage when we booked the RV. The mechanic who came said the power supply to the Jack needed to be repaired and that this probably wasn’t the first time this happen. We lost a day and a half of our vacation worrying about getting the RV fixed and moved to the designated area. The ride home was smooth but Corey was not present at drop off. About a hour after we dropped it off I got an email saying the owner submitted a claim for damage. Corey did not contact me about this matter at all. When I inquired about the damage, Corey insisted that we wrecked the RV. The rear skirt on the drivers side had fallen off at some point during our very long road trip but we were accused of having a collision. There was no damage to the RV and no sign of a collision. No dents, scratches or paint missing what so ever. The only thing was the skirt had fallen off. The skirt screws were very rusty and worn like many other parts of the exterior and interior of the RV. We paid almost $600 for insurance through outdoorsy but they forced us to submit a claim though our personal insurance for the faulty equipment on the RV and They held my security deposit. We are currently still waiting on a decision but our insurance stated this whole process seems fraudulent. To pay so much for insurance only for them to try to make us pay out of pocket for roadside assistance and not even process the “damage” claim is a huge rip off. Also, We should not be responsible for the RV being old and worn down. Needless to say, we will never use outdoorsy again nor suggest anyone else to rent through this company or Corey.

This experience was frustrating especially since it was out first time renting an unit.
- First the delivery was changed to pick up the unit at the owners request. We accommodated that since it was on the way to our destination from the airport
- There was no water in the RV. There was a part that was split. The owner did come to the property to attempt to repair but it did not work so no showers, not toilet, and no sink usage. We utilized bottled water for 5 days.
- The levelers would not work. When the owner came to property he found that the leveler motor was seized up. The RV had to be reparked so the slide outs could be used but was on an incline for the entire vacation.
-- This resulted in the limitation of trying to run the refrigerator on gas.
- The refrigerator stopped working. After the RV was reparked, the fridge stopped working. This resulting in us having to go into town to buy coolers but since it was not noticed immediately, food that we had purchased and stored in it had to be thrown out. We used the non-working refrigerator it to hold bottled water only.
- The unit came with linens: The bed had fitted sheet and comforter, table bed got a sheet, couch got a sheet and overhead bed got a comforter. There should be enough blankets for each bed to have one, especially since it was known we would be utilizing all 4 beds due to 5 people occupying the unit
-- There were plenty of towels
If the unit had been delivered, most these issues would/should have been discovered before we got to the unit.
