I will start by saying that I am not one to go out of my way to write
a negative review and try to ruin anyone’s business. But I do feel
like I have an obligation to at least give people a heads up about
this RV if you’re thinking about renting.Overall, the RV was ok, but the owner was not the most professional…and for a 2022 it
seemed a little run down. There were 3 drawers that didn’t latch
shut, so they were opening and slamming during the entire drive both
ways. There was a wooden panel behind the driver's seat that was
already loose and fell down during the drive over, a bedroom window
that had a black sheet taped over it and a couple of the doors were
difficult to shut. Also, the front hubcaps had both fallen off during
our drive out.I would've preferred a little cleaner and the
linens were just piled up on the beds. They even asked
us to spray down the outside of the RV before we returned it because
the place we were going had a lot of dirt. We have rented RVs a few
times before and never had a host ask us to do that. When we returned the RV, we were told that we didn't dump the black tank properly. We had
dumped it at the campsite before we left...the same way we have with
other RVs we've rented, but unbeknownst to us, there was some sort of
add-on to their cleaning system, which required an extra step when
dumping. The owner (husband) told my husband when he returned it, that it was a
miscommunication and not to worry about it. Two days later the owner (wife)
reached out to me upset and said they went to dump the tank and poop
went everywhere. She then proceeded to tell me that we now owed her an additional $200. I understand that is the Outdoorsy rate for dumping, and something no one wants to be
inconvenienced with, but it seemed a little unfair given that we
weren't told about this extra step, then told not to worry about it
once we realized. When we did the walk through with the owner (wife), she never told us about the extra step for dumping the tank. So I met her in the middle and ended up paying $100.We returned the RV clean and in great shape...but felt a little like
we were being taken advantage of. Having said all of that, I would
just recommend to read the fine print if you decide to rent from this
host so you don't have extra charges sneak up on you. One more thing
to note...per Outdoorsy, there are specific pick up and drop off
times. We haven't had a host enforce this in the past, but this one
will charge for early pick up and late drop off.
