About Andrew and Amy Tyson

Hello! We are the Tyson’s; consisting of Andrew, Amy, Emma, Gunner, Ozzy (Great Dane), Champs (of course after Champagne, the Orange Tabby Cat), 4 goats, over 10 chickens, and 2 peacocks. We’re originally from Ohio, though drawn to San Diego due to the weather (because Cleveland Ohio is ooohhhh so full of sunshine ;-). Camping was engrained in both of us from a young age; having lived out in San Diego now for over 7 years, we’ve had the opportunity to take advantage of all the great camping locations Southern California has to offer (from the Beaches of Silverstrand and Carlsbad, to the Mountains of Big Bear and Mount Laguna, to the Mojave Desert (Joshua Tree), and the, well really-really big trees up in the Sequoia National Forest, near Kern River – we’ve done it all. Almost 5 years ago, we purchased our first vintage trailer; and totally fell in love with the vintage camper community. We knew after our first vintage trailer rally, that we had to start our own, which we did called, “Campersgiving” (centered around Thanksgiving), while also creating a vintage trailer social club called “San Diego Vintage Trailer Social Club”, to meet more folks in the area to go camping with us. We’ve gone camping as a family + 1 Great Dane over 70 times!
