Welcome to Van Island Adventures hosted with Outdoorsy! We are new to hosting on outdoorsy! We wanted to take our love for the outdoors and turn it into a business! We are learning as we go, constantly evolving and updating our vans and adding more to the fleet! We are still exploring the island and would love to hear from you and all your adventures! We had an amazing week with Nebula! It was the perfect vehicle for camping and a safe, worry-free vacation. The vehicle was comfortable, well-equipped, and in excellent condition. Justin was absolutely great! I highly recommend it 100%. Thank you for such a wonderful trip! 😊

We hired Luna for a 3 week trip around Vancouver Island and onto the mainland all the way to Banff, Jasper and back. The van itself is reliable and runs well, the layout inside is very good with a comfy bed and everything you would need for cooking. We did have a few issues with the leisure battery not charging but Justin was very helpful in fixing this and helping us solve the problem.

Apollo is an absolute beast and great fun to drive. Think: tank with a great roaring sound. He handles logging roads incredibly well and the build in the back is very comfortable, especially with an inverter for mood lighting and to charge your larger items overnight without worry. There is a comprehensive cooking set up without table and you may have to bring your own camping gas. I liked particularly that there was tupperware, especially as 1 person cooking is tricky sometimes. The window coverings didn't really work for me but I managed to shut my towels in the back and side doors to maintain privacy. Overall I would definitely recommend for a few days of fun on the roads.

As my first experience in a campervan, I was very happy. Exactly what I needed. The van is great, so convenient and perfect for my needs. Communication with Justin was very easy. Thank you so much 🤩

I liked having the van, however, it was apparent the owner had not done an inventory of the cutlery, dishes and other items provided in a long time.
The legs on the bed extender needs maintenance and the hinge was also loose. Luckily, the cooler included fits under the extension. The mattress was clean and comfortable.
I am confident saying once he gets the ladder fixed I would use the roof.
The owner was really easy to communicate when the windshield wipers quit working (they started working the next day so I think it is a fuse issue).
The van is tall and it would have been nice if there has been a grab bar installed by the side door and or a folding step to help us shorties to get in☺️

And I really enjoyed the fact that I had somewhere to escape to when it did rain, which was not very long. This experience has shown me that I do want to do Van life, but in Van that I can stand up in and I’m 5’1”😂😂

Galaxy was an awesome camper van! It was clean, easy to drive, and had everything we needed for our trip. The big bed was really comfortable and we slept great every night. Pickup and drop-off were easy, and the host was great to deal with. We’d definitely rent the Galaxy again! Easy 5 stars

I had an amazing time with the camper van! Justin was a great host, and provided literally everything you could have needed to camp and explore the island. Justin was also super quick to respond to any questions, and was patient with me figuring out how to use outdoorsy. I definitely hope to book with Justin again!

The RV was generally a good experience. Easy pick up location and to drive. Some of the crockery was mouldy, and the gas stove was difficult to light initially- would be good to have instructions on use of things in the vehicle. Eg, lights, inverter, cook stove etc.
When driving everything in the car moves everywhere- maybe some netting or securing devices would be handy. The awning was broken and unusable, and due to unforeseen circumstances we had to drop car off 45min from Victoria- although was reimbursed $20 by Justin.
We had a lovely trip overall. Would still recommend the RV- could use some tune ups to increase the overall experience.
