We had an amazing experience renting with Chris/Rolling Vacations. We rented his Thor 24 ft 2020 Freedom Elite RV for 12 nights. Communication lending up to our booking was great. Pickup went smooth and he even let us leave our vehicle there (plus accommodated one more upon our request) The trailer was exactly as described and met all our needs. Will definitely book with Chris again.

1/5 Stars — Terrible communication and unreasonable cleanliness expectations
The RV was fine mechanically, but renting through this owner was a frustrating experience. Traveling for a week with two adults, five kids, and a dog, we needed reliable support. Within hours of arriving at our campsite, we hit a breaker issue. I called and emailed multiple times for help, but the owner didn't respond until 24 hours later, claiming he "didn't see the message." Once he had our money, we were completely on our own, and I had to rely on a complete stranger to fix a simple issue.
The post-trip experience was just as bad. The owner has an unreasonable cleanliness policy, falsely accusing us of not even lifting a broom when everything was wiped down. His expectation is that renters hand over a perfectly cleaned and sanitized RV requiring zero turnover effort on his end, while claiming it only takes him 10 to 15 minutes to prep for the next rental. To make matters worse, he slapped us with an extra $100 cleaning fee. Expecting guests to do deep-cleaning turnaround work and then charging extra is a terrible business model. We will not be renting from this owner—or Outdoorsy—ever again.

Rolling’s answer
As mentioned we take over 70 pre trip pictures all time and date stamped. We also took several pictures post trip which shows the disgusting condition it was returned in. These were sent to you so how you could possibly think this is ok is beyond me.
As far as your comments regarding being on your own and 24 hours to respond - again another lie. You sent me 3 messages regarding your rental. Your first message was sent to me at 3:18 pm and I responded at 6:47 pm - not as quick as we normally respond as I was in a bad service area and I responded as soon as I received the message. That is 3 and a half hours which is a far cry from your claimed 24 hours. You then sent a message on a seperate day at 12:31 to which I responded to at 12:34 and again at 12:36 you sent a message to which I responded to at 12:36 - all of this issues were renter error and were all explicitly explained to you at pick up and the answer to these problems could have also been found in 2 minutes by looking at the provided operator manual.
A cleaning list and expectations were also posted on a large laminated sheet inside the motorhome as well as told to you at pick up and drop off so yes when you completely disregard almost everything that was listed and couldn’t even bother to make an effort sweeping the floors then a cleaning charge will be applied. We run a motorhome and trailer rental business and not a maid/cleaning service. We are not expecting nor did we ever tell you to do a deep clean. What we do expect if for the units to be tidied up - not to leave us dirty dishes to wash, not to leave us garbage inside the motorhome, not to leave us urine sitting in the toilet bowl unflushed, not to leave us chips and food spills over the dash area, it to leave us a completely soiled mattress cover, not to leave us a couch that was so dirty the colour of the couch changed when we cleaned it (this was a brand new couch in February) and definitely not to leave us a totally unswept floor especially when a broom and dust pan are supplied

This is our business with 21 motorhomes and trailers that we rent out for well over 200 rentals a year. We have had 5 rentals this year that have resulted in a cleaning charge. Over 97 percent of our renters don’t have a problem being able to return the units in a respectable condition but for some reason you seem to think that these rules do not apply to you.

Right from the start Chris was professional, and kind. We had a great time! The RV was so clean and Chris walked us through everything. So easy to maintain.

Chris makes the whole rental experience as stress free as possible from start to finish. We have rented from Rolling Vacations six times and been very happy with the whole experience. Communication is excellent and Rentals are ready to travel. It's easier to rent than have your own that you have to maintain and prep before each trip.

We were a group of 8 friends heading north to see family at a Lake outside of Timmins. Was an awesome way to travel for all. Myself and close friend drove and was the perfect size for new RV drivers. Chris the host from Rolling Vacations was a huge help and knew exactly what we needed and his support helped the trip be a major success. We will be doing this again in the future using Outdoorsy.
