My sister and I had the most wonderful bucket list-worthy Yellowstone vacation thanks in huge part to Graham and our temporary home-away-from-home, the fabulous Butternut!
The trip started with a quick and easy meet-n-greet to get acquainted with Butternut and her many (MANY) features. Driving Butternut, you'll get tons of waves and honks from other Westies and smiles from everyone that sees her - she's pretty irresistible and just downright cool. But, while she has all the appeal and awesome grooviness of an '84 VW, she's been upgraded with a newer Subaru 2.5L motor - perfect for getting around, up, and down mountains with ease. Plus, she was stocked with absolutely anything you could need for an extended trip on the road - from comfy, cozy bedding, to camping gear, cooking utensils, a refrigerator, a stove, all the plugs and outlets you'd ever need... if you rent Butternut, you literally just need to bring yourself and some clothes - the rest is taken care of! Just pull up to your campsite, pop the camper top, and start roasting marshmallows by the campfire (yes, there were even firestarters stocked on board!).
Graham and his beautiful family were a pure joy to meet, totally accommodating, incredibly generous, and just plain good people that truly cared that our trip was perfect. We could not have asked for a better time or a better vehicle - everything was simply perfect. (Thanks so much, Graham & Diana - hope to see you again next summer!)

Great trip. ButterNut was awesome for us two. Plenty of engine power and so retro cool. People stopped to converse about the van often.
