Memories made on trips with Sierra Adventure Rentals's RVs

It was great that the host delivered to our camp location which is not an easy drive. We did not have communication the day before for some reason which made things a bit tougher. We didn't have communication until the last minute before we lost phone services at the bottom of the mountain. We were told where the trailer had been left and there was a note on the door, however the fresh water tank was not completely full since they were under the impression they could top it off at the campground. The campground only provides not potable water. Fortunately I always carry an extra 10 gallons of fresh water. We arrived and easily found the trailer off on one of the spurs. Not where we would normally park to be close to family and friends but as luck would have it we were only about a 100 yards away up the hill from them.
From the outside the trailer looked its age. The first thing you notice is the outdoor speakers are completely worn out. The steps are missing the grip tape from the leading edge which made them a bit slippery if you weren't careful. The combo door lock worked great and it was nice not to need a key to carry around. When you opened the door the first thing you see is a non-functioning screen door with not latch and the middle of the door completely missing. Not ideal for mosquito country. The dining table is missing the leading trim around the edge which can be very hard on the hands if you run your hands along the edge for any reason. Their is a counter extension shown in the pictures but we could not find it anywhere in the trailer. The right front chair foot rest would not extend and the blinds were missing from the kitchen window which we made do with something to cover it up when necessary. Their is some cosmetic damage inside the trailer but not unusual for a 6 year old trailer. Overall the trailer could use a good solid deep cleaning but it was passable in the condition we were given. The DVD player didn't work either, it just spins your DVD in circles which is common for these players to do. My son has had same issue with his in their trailer.
Now for the best things about this trailer. It has lots of floor space when the bed is up. The dinette has plenty of room at the table and in the seats. The bathroom has plenty of room and the shower at 6' 170 lbs had plenty of room for me. The trailer has plenty of storage space also. The major items in the trailer all worked flawlessly. It was the first outdoorsy vehicle where both the heater and water heater worked without a hitch. The micro, stove, water pump and fridge all worked flawlessly. The generator provided was super easy to use and start and was a miser on fuel. It never needed fuel for the entire 5 days we had the trailer. A gas can was provided and we never needed it. We didnt use the outdoor kitchen of awning so I can't comment on those items. Although we did turn on the outdoor fridge in case we opted to move our drinks from our ice chest to our the fridge since the campground was having a bear issue while we were there. Their was dish soap in the trailer but no sponge dish cloth or dish towel. We brought our own toaster since one isn't provided.
All in all a good experience. Just needs a little TLC and a solid deep cleaning and firm up the communications and this trailer is easily a 4 or maybe in the 5 star range.

Excellent customer service. The trailer was amazing and included a generator. We camped at Mount Pinos which is very basic in terms of water and restrooms, having this trailer was like having a glamping experience there. If you are planning a mountain bike trip to Mount Pinos, this is a great way

Amazing time, such a sweet host, very attentive to my questions even after pick up. I thought the trailer was very well designed and maintained. Will be booking with this couple and their travel trailers again!

Peter and this trailer were excellent, accommodating our ETA to meet and choose location, although we come prepared, trailer included everything you'd need from towels, sleeping bags, chairs, utensils, pots/pans, floor mats, pillows, cleaning supplies, tools, vacuum, generator, a nice little gift basket with snacks, wine, popcorn, keyless entry, no wifi in the middle of the desert, youd need to be in RV-park with wifi just fyi, 50 gallons gives 2 people 3 military-quick-style showers each, very nice to have after dirtbiking in weather. Quick response from host if you have questions mid-trip, overall very satisfied with this host and trailer would definitely recommend!

It’s the attention to detail and the great customer service that makes our stay a five star rating. Clean, cozy, fully stocked with kitchen utensils, cleaning supplies, fresh clean linen and complimentary gift basket made us feel at home. Best thing is they are pet friendly 🐾 My family of 4 and 2 small dogs absolutely loved our vacation and we look forward to our next year trip.
