The RV was dated. No hot water. No heater. Leak in the roof in the cabin and bathroom. Kitchen sink faucet leaked. Cookware was minimal. No plates. Just a couple of bowls. Only pan was a full size dutch oven. Blackout drapes were just strips of black cloth. Some had clips to hang over the windows, some did not. The owner did provide a charged UPS that he said would take care of charging our phones but that "died" after a day and a half. When driving, the steering was very "loose" making vehicle control challenging.
Two days into our 4 day trip the power steering went out rendering the vehicle undriveable. Notified the owners rep via text and he said to leave in a local supermarket parking lot. If not for the fact we were traveling with friends who had another RV we would have been stranded in Soldotna, AK. As it was, we had to book 2 separate hotel stays for a total of $750 extra. Owner refused to cover any of it and simply returned our deposit and apologized for our misfortune. This RV should not have been rented as the driveability was sketchy to say the least. Said he didn't charge us for dumping but how could he when it broke down in the middle of a parking lot. Said he didn't charge us for gas but we had just gassed up about 50 miles earlier. Said we should have called the insurance company and arranged for a tow. His partner said we could just leave it in the parking lot with the keys under the seat. We did check with the supermarket management and was told it was OK to leave it in the parking lot but to leave a note in the windshield with contact info, which we did. I could go on, but I think you get the message.

What an awesome rental experience! We loved traveling around in ‘Velma’ - a classic vintage motorhome. Patrick and his family were communicative, friendly, warm and helpful. The motorhome was well equipped and provided us with everything we needed. Comfortable beds. Plenty of storage throughout for all of your supplies and gear. Queen sized linens as well as bath towels are provided (including a down comforter and soft pillows). You will find basic kitchen supplies for meal prep (sharp knives) with reliable, working appliances. She is a sturdy, well-traveled Alaskan vehicle. If you are looking for a fun, memorable and comfortable experience, book your Alaskan adventure with Velma, the Mini Winnie, and explore like a local!

My family and I rented the RV from Patrick and stayed in it for 7 nights mid-July. We had a blast exploring Alaska from Anchorage to Seward to Denali! As a family of five with three kids (ages 8, 7, & 5 yo) the RV provided plenty of room. There are 3 beds and plenty of linens as well as towels. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need. The fridge was the perfect size. There was plenty of storage for me to put away our clothes, stow our duffle bags, hang our jackets, and store all of our food for our adventure. Everything in the RV works and is extremely well maintained.

Patrick literally saved our vacation with his awesome vintage RV! We had a reservation with a big company that got canceled by them at the last minute and Patrick stepped up and hooked us up with his stylish classic rig. This one of a kind rig was perfect for our family of 5 and was very reliable. Everything worked perfect and started up every time. This RV even made a good subject for some great photos on our trip with its charming looks. Patrick was very accommodating and gave us one of his ice chests and even some salmon for our trip. We drove from Anchorage all the way to Homer and then to Seward and back with no issues at all. One of the best parts was its shorter size made it a lot more drivable and could almost fit it in a regular parking stall. I loved my time in this great little RV, Thanks again Patrick.
