I would recommend this outfit to other people. The "mattress" or sleeping pad is not quite thick enough padding for a big guy like me. We purchased an inflatable mattress to use. The service response for repairs is a model that other companies should learn. I texted about a clutch fan cooling issue and the company jumped in with both feet to get it resolved FAST! Loaner car during RV repair allowed vacation to keep going. People were very pleasant, alert, and attentive to every word we said. When they picked up or dropped us off, Manager helped with luggage. RV was CLEAN. Someone invests a lot of effort to clean an RV after it has been roaming in Alaska. Table was ready to eat off of as soon as we got inside. Hand Sanitizer provided in RV and Loaner Car. LPG, Gasoline both FULL when you get the unit. Alaska can have cool mornings in summer as in 50 degrees; Nice to know that the Heater runs off LPG and coach batteries for ducted blower which in turn allows interior to warm up in just 15 minutes. All off grid and all working as it should. Stove was flawless to get that hot tea or eggs in the morning. Fridge when off grid maintained safe cold temperatures for food all the time. On a side note, I am a CDL driver; Pre-trip on this unit told me that the maintenance and safety issues were well attended to. I would not be afraid to drive unit back to Pennsylvania. To Alaska Family Motorhomes I say THANK-YOU for helping my wife and I have a great summer.

Hey Bob, It was great meeting you. I am glad we got everything dialed in while you had a great time touring around Anchorage. My son and our team work hard to give you a safe, reliable, clean RV to drive and it sounds like you had fun driving it. These RV's go up and down Alaska highways all season long and we do our best to keep them reliable, safe and clean.
See you next time.

Tom, Pat and Justin made the whole experience quite smooth. They were available to answer our questions at all times. This helped because it was our first time ever renting an RV.

Thomas’s answer

Positives: Excellent dealings with the owner. after the van didnt start when we got to valdez, the owner kicked butt trying to help us get it fixed. it ended up being a linkage problem with the battery, so wasnt anything serious. He also helped us diagnose an AC power problem which ended up being a power pole problem at the campground.

Thomas’s answer

Hello, Thanks for the feedback. Many renters do not tell us about things like broken chairs and we do not check them every time during our busy summer season. We have dozens of replacement chairs in stock and will take care of this right away. We will get on that door issue right away also. Many times it is just a couple of loose screws on the sill plate or sometimes the mechanism wears out and we have replacement door mechanisms in stock. The no start issue turned out to be a quick disconnect at the battery had some corrosion. The AC power problem had nothing to do with the RV, it turned out that you were plugged in to a power socket at the campsite that did not have power. Previous renters are to return with full propane and full gas. If it is not quite full when it goes out, we have you note that in writing on the agreement and then you just return as appropriate. As noted in the agreements , emails and text messages, we ask that you confirm with the driver text/cell phone at least one hour prior to arrival at he lot. We normally pick you up for free at your airport or hotel or meet you at the lot. I will review this issue with the driver and retrain as needed to always text or call if no timely confirmation is received from the customer. Airplanes have been delayed, early and many cancelations this season. It has been hard to track. As you are aware, as soon as I am informed of an issue, I work hard to get it fixed and back on the road. Thanks for your part in contacting me right away and locating a repair shop just down the road from where you were for the no start issue. After wiggling a wire, and driving to the repair shop, they repaired the corroded terminal and you were on the way in an hour. As per conversations, sounds like you had a great time in Alaska.

We had a great experience! Overall the RV was great. We had a small issue with the refrigerator but Tom and his team were very responsive. This particular RV is pretty old so interior isn't fancy but it had everything we needed and ran great.
The entire team was excellent!
