RecommendationsWe have extensive experience living and traveling in Alaska and will be happy to recommend destinations and activities based on your personal interests. A must-see for first-time visitors is Denali National Park. The Kenai Peninsula provides multiple great trails for hiking and mountain biking. (As long-time mountain bikers, we can provide detailed information on trails to match your desire and ability.) The towns of Seward and Homer offer spectacular scenery, great camping, and wonderful day cruises for salmon and halibut fishing, or for seeing whales, puffins, sea lion among the stunning mountains and glaciers of Kenai Fjords National Park.If you have ideas for specific locations and activities but need advice, just let us know. We'll be happy to help.Other things to noteDriver must be over the age of 25 to qualify for rental and insurance coverage. Improved dirt roads and many trailheads are permitted. However, there are road restrictions. This vehicle is equipped with GPS telematics. Travel on the following roads is not permitted: Denali Highway between Cantwell and Paxon (this is not the main road going to Denali National Park); Dalton Highway, Nabesna Road; McCarthy Road; or any other unimproved gravel roads or beaches. Failure to adhere to this restriction will result in forfeiture of your security deposit. This vehicle may not be used for towing. To reduce food odors in the van and for your safety in bear country, we ask that you cook outdoors and store food properly. The van will have a full fuel tank when you pick it up, and should be returned with a full tank. Any required additional fuel will be charged to the renter, as well as a $35 service fee.Renters are expected to remove personal belongings and properly dispose of trash and gray water prior to drop-off to avoid a $35 cleaning fee.To allow time for prep and cleaning between rentals, pick-up time is 2:00 p.m. and drop-off time is 11:00 a.m. We will do our best to accommodate alternate times upon request. Alternate times might result in additional fees. When you request a booking, we really appreciate a brief note of introduction and a little something about your trip. It helps us know how to best help you have a successful and fun vacation, and we're always grateful to know a little bit about the people who want to take our van out on the road.

5Sugar Magnolia was the perfect van for our inland adventure. She handles like a dream and provided a comfy, cozy camp wherever we stopped. Tim & Nelta have just the right amount of gear for camp cooking. Bear spray tutorial was clutch. Our 1st van life week has us hooked! Brian & Julie
