Avondale, Arizona is an exceptional small city adjacent to both Glendale and the state capital of Phoenix. This community benefits from being far enough outside the metro area to have that charming small-town feel, while still retaining its proximity to the attractions of Phoenix, like the international airport, major highway corridors, and of course the outrageously beautiful desert landscapes and forests of Arizona.

Avondale was once a small farming community specializing in cotton and alfalfa production but has since become a bedroom community for the nearby capital, and now proudly boasts a revitalized downtown area reminiscent of the old towns of the wild west. Booking an RV rental in Avondale is a fantastic way to see the area year-round, as the hot desert climate ensures that you will encounter lots of dry heat and sunshine.

One of the best times to book an RV in Avondale is during one of its many events or festivals held in the historic downtown area. The Billy Moore Days event is an exciting carnival with rides, parades, and multiple stages with live entertainment. The Avondale Block Party, Avondale Fiesta, and the Tres Rios Nature Festival are other notable events that celebrate the town's heritage.

The White Tank Mountain Regional Park could be the first stop on your grand Avondale RV rental tour. White Tank Mountain is the largest regional park in the US and has 26 glorious miles of trail weaving throughout the desert and mountain landscapes prevalent in the territory.

Estrella Mountain Regional Park is another nearby place to take your Avondale camper rental, and you won't be disappointed by the number of things there are to do here. Here, you can fish in the Gila River, utilize one of the many athletic fields, mountain bike, and hike; this place was designed with recreation in mind.

North of Avondale is Lake Pleasant Regional Park which surrounds the beautiful waters of, you guessed it, Lake Pleasant. Water skiing, jet skiing, boating, kayaking, and scuba diving are all popular activities here.

Tonto National Forest is another option to check out when you rent an RV in Avondale. The massive forest covers nearly three million acres of Arizona, making it one of the largest forests in the country. There are eight wilderness areas teeming with lakes, waterfalls, rivers, and many other fun features for you to explore.

Joshua Tree National Park is a few hours’ drive west with the Avondale camper rental. This incredible park gets a shout out for its rich geological history, stunning nighttime skies, and unique trees. Of course, no visit to Arizona would be complete without stopping by the majestic Grand Canyon National Park up near Flagstaff, the likes of which contain some of the most stunning imagery imaginable. This incredible natural feature is the culmination of two billion years of erosion caused by the raging waters of the Colorado River and its many tributaries.
