The best way to learn about the history of the area is to visit the Historic Hacienda de la Canoa (“hacienda” is Spanish for “ranch”). The Joyner-Green Valley Library might seem like an unusual attraction but it can be an oasis on a hot Arizona afternoon. There is a wide selection of books and DVD movies; if you don't see what you want, the library can borrow materials from other nearby libraries. It regularly sells older books to assist with the operating costs, and purchases you make will help to keep the library afloat. Take a book or DVD back to your Green Valley RV rental and your evening's entertainment is guaranteed.

When it's time for dinner, there are a number of restaurants to choose from of relatively standard cuisine choices; but don't let that fool you. You can choose from Mexican, southwestern and American food, pizza parlors, bistros, bakeries, and delis.

Those who would prefer to dine in, in the comfort of their Green Valley travel trailer rental, can pick up supplies in town. There are numerous grocery stores around, and also local grocers selling produce fresh off the farm that morning.
