During your Lake Catherine State Park camping trip, you'll likely spend most of your time at the lake or on the park’s trails. Here, you'll see some of the most bizarre and beautiful underwater dwellers, as well as amphibians and reptiles that can be seen on the coast. There are 60 exhibits that feature more than 80 marine animal species. You'll learn new things, probably see some fish species for the first time, and possibly get inspiration for your own home aquarium.

For guests who love rare plants and gardens, check out Garvan Gardens on the very outskirts of the town. You'll find majestic botanical landscapes that will take your breath away. The place is really big, so you might want to take a whole day just to visit all of the different gardens here. Guests can attend lectures, book special events, and donate funds to support the cause.
