Tawnia is friendly and responsive. She gave excellent instructions and driving tips. The van is stylish, has a lot of storage, and was very comfortable for me (I’m 5’5”). I slept so well! I was grateful for having this van for my trip to visit a friend in TX for eclipse viewing, hiking, and birding. I would rent this van again!

Big Frida is such a (lady) boss! We drove her from Austin to Marfa and back and it was such a smooth ride! What a memorable experience. It rained quite a bit while we were out on the road and at camp, but there was plenty of room for two people to cozy up in the bed, read, relax, cook, play music, and move around. Such an upgrade from tent camping! I'm still impressed with how thorough Tawnia was in explaining all of Big Frida's bells and whistles — she really took the time to kindly walk us through what we needed to know before we hit the road, so we really had no questions at all and could convincingly pretend like we knew what we were doing!

Preston was a great renter! His response time was on point, he asked questions and seemed to genuinely care about making sure he understood how everything worked. He delivered her back on time, and looking good. I'd rent to him again no problemo!

We had a great time taking Big Frida out on the road! Our camping neighbors even commented that they were jealous of our van when we parked and we had to admit it was a rental. We pulled up and plugged in and looked at each other like “Is that it!?”… we hung some USB-powered twinkle lights from the van and unfolded our camping chairs and couldn’t believe we were done (as historical tent campers we felt super spoiled). The bed was super comfy. Blankets and sheets are provided (tip: bring your own pillows and extra blankets). We were able to cook way more efficiently with the fridge, hot plate, pans, & utensils provided (tip: bring a kettle and your French press for the fanciest camping morning). There is tons of storage for your items even after all the provided supplies are put away. The heat/cooling system was great for this Texas camping trip that ranged from 35 degrees to 80. If you’re new to Van life no worries - she handles well, has a back-up cam, and fits in regular parking spots - great for beginners.

Big Frida is a great built. Super clean.She did not disappoint. We took her the wine trail, down by the river, to the antique show, and hung out with the cows on a farm.
Tawnia was a wonderful host,great communicator and was super thorough with everything. She thought about everything you would need.
I highly recommend. We shall rent her again!

where to begin: this was an incredible experience! our first rv rental. tawnia was very easy to communicate with - timely and thorough, flexible, and so patient with instructions. and big frida surpassed expectations - modern, safe, very clean, easy and smooth to drive, great gas mileage, very cold AC, and outfitted with so many extras (linens, kitchen items, cards, all required and just-in-case mechanical items, posted reminders) to make our stay comfortable and easy. our teens slept in her one night in our driveway, plugged into our house, and two nights at lake somerville outside austin, plugged into the campsite. tawnia is a true and experienced rv lover, and offers amazing customer service and insights. will most definitely rent again. We had the absolutely best time with Big Frida!! The van is impeccable and very nicely appointed. Super cute and very comfortable. And she drives like a dream! Tawnia was a great communicator and accommodating to our travel plans. She is highly organized and super professional— we felt very well taken care of and supported.

We had a great time renting Big Freda for a weekend camping trip to Inks Lake State Park. Big Freda is super cute and thoughtfully designed. Tawnia has it stocked with plenty of items needed and added a couple of camp chairs and a double burner camp stove for us to take along. Tawnia was very helpful in answering questions and was very easy to work with regarding pick up and drop off times. We already have Big Freda booked for another trip this Spring!

Tawnia provided a very detailed walk through and obviously cares for Big Frida! It was a great weekend camping trip- very easy for this camping van novice and her pre-teen kid! We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen, playing board games at the table, and enjoying the outdoors!!

If you're looking for an awesome, comfortable, practical and photogenic camper van to rent, look no further! Big Frida is awesome and can fulfill your camper van dreams even if their for a quick weekend getaway or a long camping/road trip. To start of, Tawnia, the owner is so nice and great at communicating. She responds to Outdoorsy messages within minutes and was so accommodating with pick up and drop off times. She was very kind and covid safe as she wore an N95 mask and gloves and kept her distance when we picked up and dropped off the van. She was great at explaining the ins and outs of the van and was available to answer any questions while we were on our trip. The van itself was awesome and has everything you could possibly need on your trip. The bed is so comfy, there is plenty of storage and the van has great mileage. Will definitely be renting Big Friday again soon! Thanks Tawnia!

We took Big Frida on a 9-day road trip to Colorado. My experience with Tawnia and Big Frida was fantastic! First off, Tawnia was extremely professional and thorough in all processes and with providing all necessary information to make us feel confident in driving and working all the specifics of the van. She was always super responsive (within minutes at reasonable hours). We knew she was only a simple text away if we had any questions or if we ran into any issues, which gave us massive peace of mind given this was our first time taking this kind of trip in a custom built van. Big Frida herself was everything we hoped for! The bed was very comfortable. We had enough storage for double of what we brought. She drove great and felt reliable, from highways to mountain roads. If you’re at all on the fence, trust me! It’s worth it! Tawnia is extremely thoughtful and detail-oriented, so Big Frida was stocked with what we needed to live comfortably for over a week. I’m going to build my own van soon, so testing out Big Frida was a perfect experience for me to confirm some details of my own build - Tawnia was helpful in this regard as well!

Tawnia was an absolute joy to meet and to have as a resource on hand during my trip. She took great care to make sure to convey information about her van clearly, concisely, and with plenty of posted instruction, as well as always being on hand and available if questions arose. And when they did arise, as when I had a question about a notification message on the remote key fob, Tawnia went to great lengths to get my question answered, even going so far as to contact the manufacturer. I knew I was in good hands after that exchange.

We're first time RVers and Big Frida was perfect for the introduction to this new world. Best of all, was how great Tawnia was throughout the entire process. She was very responsive and personable. If I ever need to rent again, I will definitely check to see if Big Frida is available before looking elsewhere.

We had a great adventure in Big Frida! Tawnia set us up for success with a very thorough walk-through, so we had no issues during the trip. Big Frida was smooth to drive and appears just as in the photos. My favorite part was the versatility of staying at an RV park, or being able to boondock and be completely self-sufficient. The cuteness of Big Frida makes for some really cute photos as well :) Thank you Tawnia and Big Frida!

Tawnia made our experience of renting Big Frida for two weeks, flawless! The walkthrough, prior to starting our trip, was very informative. The van was comfortable, inviting, clean, and perfect for our trip’s purpose. Tawnia was very responsive, from the minute I messaged her, prior to purchasing, all the way up to us returning the van. I would recommend anyone to Tawnia / Big Frida!

Tawnia was the ideal host for our first experience on this site (and our first cross-county road trip in a converted van/RV)! Frida drives great, has all the amenities you will need while "roughing it", and provides great shelter/sleeping arrangements after our daily 10+ mile hikes. My fiance and I slept comfortably every night in the provided bed. If you are 6' tall, you would probably want to sleep on the outside of the bed (to stretch your legs out).

For it being my first experience renting a camper I have to say it was amazing. Big Freda is great, best way to do it if you ask me. My only wish is that I could continue my trip longer than a single weekend. 100 percent recommend Big Freda to anyone looking to enjoy outdoor time with a significant other or on your own. Tawnia is very thorough and is very responsive which helped very much through out. Will be renting again soon!

Our trip was postponed because of the virus so my review is really just about my interaction with Tawnia and pics of her RV. But Outdoorsy makes you fill in the ratings for all categories before they'll accept the review so I just put 5 stars in all of those.
Tawnia was really super responsive and great to work with. And she was open to accommodating some special requests we had. Based on the pics of her RV (Frida!) it was very cool, nicely put together, very clean and would have been perfect for my wife and I.
I really hope we're able to rent from her later in the year!

We had such a great trip with Big Frida - everything was new and worked well, she was easy to drive and everything had been thought of when it came to the design! Tawnia was great to rent from, very good with communication and gave us lots of little helpful tips before we left (like how my 6ft 5in husband could sleep comfortably - which he did!). We would highly recommend renting Big Frida!

We had such an amazing experience with Big Frida! Tawnia was an helpful and hands-on owner and was there for us every step of the way, answering any questions we had and making sure we had everything we needed for an awesome trip to New Mexico. She even surprised us with some goodies for the journey! It was the perfect size for my husband and me, and we would absolutely rent with Tawnia again. I would absolutely recommend taking Big Frida out on an adventure of your own!
