Everything was great! Meghan was awesome to work with and the small RV we rented, was just perfect. It was stocked with kitchen essentials and cleaning supplies. The instructions given, on the use of the van, were easy to follow. Things were easy to find and hookup was a breeze. It was an unforgettable trip!

Bertha is a decent rig. She's seen some days and is a little bit rough around the edges, but there's nothing wrong with that. She held up nicely to a three day weekend for me, my wife and our little dog. We had a lovely time!

We took Bertha to the west coast for almost three weeks. She was a trooper and held up on all mountain roads. She was cozy and comfortable and we enjoyed spending time in the van. Some of the hiccups were related to the battery not charging properly so we had issues with dumping at times as well as not having ceiling lights even when hooked up.

Rented Bertha for a two week road trip out west. She drives very comfortably and efficiently. Exterior is well-seasoned and interior was very comfortable and clean. A few minor issues popped up as they do but Megan was very responsive and helpful in dealing with any inconveniences. Definitely would rent again!

Not a great experience due to an issue with the van. Megan was awesome. Responded immediately and tried to mitigate the situation. We made it through most of our trip and she still refunded 50% of the fees due to the issues we had. It is an older van which is why they charge less. Just unfortunate that it took this time for the issue to present itself.

We took Big Bertha from Baltimore to Rochester, NY, for five days. Driving her was a breeze. She handled well and was responsive, with good visibility. The backup camera was a help, too.
My short legs wished the extended side step had been there, but the description in the listing was quite accurate,so we knew ahead of time what amenities we would and wouldn't have.
Meghan was very responsive, answering our messages and even taking a phone call when we needed help.
We had a pleasant trip, and enjoyed our time with Bertha.

We had an amazing trip and would definitely rent one of Patrick's RVs again. This rig is well used and has a few glitches, HOWEVER, Patrick does a great job of explaining, warning, and level setting in the description. I suspect those who left negative comments didn't thoroughly read and were too impatient to work through issues. Patrick did a great job of doing an introduction and was responsive while we were away for the weekend. Everything worked exactly as we expected it to and this trip marked the official end of my tent camping days. :)

My husband and I like to go camping and backpacking but given that we wanted to do a week long trip up North we were looking for a little more comfort and convenience. A camper van seemed like the perfect solution and indeed it was. We picked up the van on a Friday morning and spent an hour on the phone with Patrick for orientation. He explained the operations and quirks of Bertha to us and made sure we were able to successfully operate every aspect of the vehicle (setting up tables, lighting the stove, accessing the dump hose, etc). As soon as orientation was over we took the van to our house to pack it up. The kitchen has all of the dishes and utensils you could need (pots, pans, plates, eating utensils, spatula, basic spices including salt & pepper, little bit of olive oil, etc) although we opted to bring our cast iron skillets as well. The back seat turns into a pretty comfy queen sized bed which we slept very well in. As a diesel engine, Bertha handled the hills of the Adirondack region and Vermont very well. We felt very safe driving her and she even felt fairly agile on the twists and turns of the mountainous roads (we did have a couple occasions when books and games flew out of the locked cabinets which we got a good laugh out of). We were even able to take Bertha into Burlington, VT and park her on the street while we visited a couple of breweries. We stayed at different campsites the whole trip but somehow did not have hookup at most of them (despite me thinking that's what I had booked), but with only using the mini fridge and the overhead lights at night we did not need the hookup. We were on the move every 1-2 days which Patrick had said should be ok for the battery life however if we needed to troubleshoot to just give him a call (he is very responsive!). We ended our week long trip at a family get together where we got to show off the van that we had been living in the past week. Patrick let us return the van late so that we could spend the day with them (thank you!!). We would definitely recommend Bertha to anyone looking for a similar adventure and will hold these memories dear to us for decades to come!! Thank you Bertha and Patrick!

The sprinter is "as described" by the very friendly and helpful owner. "it's a rustic cabin on wheels." It's not perfect but can be perfect for the right situation. First of all the MB diesel is impressive at least. It handled the highway including very steep and curvy mountains roads better than expected. Gas mileage was good too. As for the camper, it turns out it was just not our thing so I dont think its fair to judge. We had a great trip but choose hotels since the camper was smaller than my old bones, girlfriend and large lab dog could handle.

This was one of the most enjoyable vacations we have taken. We drove up through New to Lake George, and then through Vermont, New Hampshire to a lake in Maine. Big Bertha was easy to drive and was compact enough to maneuver on some of the skinny mountain roads we were on. Patrick gave me a thorough orientation on the vehicle via phone, and he was available during the trip to answer a few quetions via text. Would definitely rent from him again.

This was my first time using Outdoorsy, as well as my first time using an RV at all. Patrick was very helpful in getting us acquainted with everything we needed to know about RVs in general, and this van specifically. Any time we had a question for him he was always quick to respond and patient while doing so. As for the van itself it was a lot of fun to drive overall, me and the girlfriend ended up staying at five different beaches over the course of five days. It definitely has its quirks but Patrick is upfront about them in the rental description so there's no surprises. If you're looking for reliable, easy-to-drive, self-contained RV that will still fit in a parking space (not to be taken lightly haha) then I certainly recommend Patrick and Big Bertha.

Sprinter was great to drive, good gas mileage. Did 3 parks in 4 days. Had one question for Patrick during trip and got a speedy response. No problems. Pet friendly so brought our dog. Great way to spend a few days getting away from our routine and for getting a taste of RVing.

Big Bertha was awesome! Highly recommend!! She was everything we could hope for! She navigated Skyline Drive like a champ. Husband and I wanting to purchase a conversion van so thought we would rent one just to try it out and we are hooked. We have been camping for decades and love to travel, this is definitely the way to go. I ended up doing all the driving and felt totally comfortable with her ability. Patrick was the best host! He made everything a breeze from beginning to end.

Big Bertha was amazing! We can’t say enough good things about her or her owner Patrick, who was always available to help with questions and also explained everything so well. She drove easy like an SUV for us and comfortably slept three adult girls. We were able to to cook in her, camp in her and go all over the PNW and the National Parks with out an issue. Everything went smoothly, honestly better then I expected. This was our first experience vacationing this way and we hope to do it again soon! Also, she was as good with gas as advertised, and she actually averaged 22/23 MPG in the mountains. Thanks Bertha and Patrick for allowing my friends and I to have the vacation we needed!

They started the correspondence with asking me asking for a discount. When I found out it was a Covid related trip to drop off their sun to college, I did waive the mileage fees. They would be driving a lot and not even using the RV at campsites. Dry camping is not the recommended way to use this RV, particularly with this light duty generator. I thought as long as they did not have high expectations for the use of the RV in this suboptimal arrangement, things would be fine. I explained all of that thoroughly to them right away.

It was a pleasure renting Big Bertha from Patrick. This was our first RV experience and Patrick was extremely thorough in his orientation. He was very responsive and always accessible when we had questions and issues. Like any other camping trips, there were moments that things did not go perfectly well, but with flexibility and positive attitude we were able to address the issues and still had a great experience. Patrick left a tool bag and it came in handy. We worked with Patrick to find temporary solutions while on the road to continue our adventure, and Patrick was already prepared to address them before we dropped Big Bertha off.
We not only had a good time traveling in Big Bertha, but also learned so much about RV travel (such as dumping and leveling).

We were totally impressed by Patrick's professionalism, communications and attentiveness to us during our 11 day rental. We were new to van-life, so our learning curve was steep but in the end we had it all pretty much figured out. The vehicle itself was very good: clean, well-appointed and well-stocked for a road trip. Engine-wise, it ran without a hitch. Some normal operational glitches arose during the trip, but Patrick was always available to discuss. Pick-up and drop-off were easy and smooth. Thanks, Patrick!

There is not much positive I can say about this vehicle. To start the generator couldn’t be used as it filled the cabin with propane, the fridge didn’t work, and to top it all off the toilet backed up even though it had only been used a couple times. Oh and that not it, while driving the AC stopped working. When we reported these issues to Patrick then we were told that they were known issues. The trip was a disaster. I can’t recommend this RV to anyone and although Patrick was a nice guy he was less than forthright with the issues.

Unfortunately, this renter was very impatient and did not allow me to help him troubleshoot issues. Big Bertha has been on the road quite a bit but what he wrote was untrue. The generator did not fill the cabin with propane. You can smell propane anytime you use it for a BBQ, when running a generator, while cooking, etc. He might have never used propane before. Generators have circuit breaker switches. When they draw a heavy load, you sometimes have to toggle that switch. Interestingly, I told him about everything prior to the trip. He then said the refridge was intermittent. The AC did not stop working as he described. In these Sprinters when it gets real hot the condenser sensor freezes up and you just have to turn the air down for it to thaw and then it gets cold again. I said that is a known issue and it unnerved him for some reason. Trust me, I will help you with every issue during your trip. Once the toilet backed up for whatever reason he did not want to troubleshoot that and he returned the RV smelling horrible. I hope this helps if anyone is hesitant. Happy to discuss any of these points.

Our 1st time in the VanLife; Patrick & Big Bertha made it a wonderful experience. Big Bertha (the van) was ideal for the 2 of us! Patrick made the experience easy; he was completely accommodating to our needs, and quickly available by text when we had questions. Big Bertha was our travelling home over 9 days & nights to a an idyllic riverfront, a countryside wedding, a waterfall park campsite, a waterfront marina, a friend's driveway, plus (shhhh...) stealth-camping in the city. We gave many tours, for friends along our travels, and certainly shared our zeal on FB. It was hard to say goodbye. We're hooked!

The vehicle was awesome. The gas mileage as advertised. We truly loved it. The only drawback was the cleanliness. The front mats smelled of pet urine so we got creative and put them in a garbage bag and put them in the bathroom, which we did not use during the trip. These concerns were shared with Patrick via text. We recommend a better cleaning prior to each rental.

Everything about our experience with renting Big Bertha was excellent! It was a great size for my husband and I, plus our two medium sized dogs. We even had room for a small baby gate to keep them in the back and not under our feet while driving. Patrick was very responsive and helpful as we navigated our first time in any type of RV. The van was easy to drive on highways and through small towns, with a quick set up at campsites. Bring bedding and personal items but everything else is there for you. There was a roll of duck tape that we used to keep one cabinet shut that tended to open while driving. Patrick also left us a second key so we could leave the van idling, and run inside somewhere while our dogs had AC to keep them cool! We had the perfect trip up the coast and would definitely recommend to anyone.

We rented Big Bertha for a camping trip to Cape Henlopen in Delaware. Driving was a breeze and it was nice to be up so high seeing areas I had passed many times before from a new higher perspective ( like the Bay Bridge).
Everything about the van was exactly as described- frig, stove, sink,fan, toilet,AC, canopy, screen on back.
It was especially nice to be out of the rain and be able to unplug and just drive if we needed.

We think some of the lights were left on and it drained the battery.
Like most Class Bs, we found the bed to be rather uncomfortable. It is more like sleeping on a pull out couch than a bed. The stove and refrig met our needs fine. All of the lights are great. We tried the awning once and it worked too. We did not use the bathroom at all since it is so small.

Bertha was the ideal "traveling Tiny House" for my recent solo vacation in Eastern Pennsylvania. Fit me like a glove, easy to operate, and Patrick was very gracious, allowing me to pick up early in the morning after an all night flight. Pick up and return at a trendy local marina was convenient and a nice "Welcome to Baltimore". Wonderful RV to drive; highly recommend!

He also sent a really nice morning after text to check on us and see if we had questions - AWESOME!! Big Bertha is a dream to drive - very smooth ride and handles well. There is no TV or DVD player - so plan for a true camping experience without those perks. I would definitely rent again!

We had the BEST experience! Patrick was super helpful and responsive to all questions and concerns, He even gave us a tutorial of the Big Bertha before we left since this was our first time renting an RV. Big Bertha is wonderful - the bed was so comfortable, she was so easy to drive, great on gas, and was exactly what we needed! We will definitely rent again for future road trips :)
