2015 Little Guy T@G teardrop "Red"

"Red" is a sporty, cozy camper that kept us warm throughout a mid-November Wisconsin night. Gene was very helpful and friendly, responding to questions before and during our rental. We look forward to renting Red again in 2021!

Highly recommend renting from Gene! Trailer was comfortable, well appointed, including helpful extras like TP and hand sanitizer. Very clean, slept great, and enjoyed the mini kitchen complete with Propane stove and fridge!! Never camped with electricity before, what a luxury! Little Red made our first time trailer camping experience fantastic.

This was our first RV rental and it was very enjoyable! Gene was super responsive, answering all my questions quickly. 'Red', as he calls it, pulled easily on our way up to Door County's Peninsula State Park for a 3 night stay in early September.

We wanted something a step up from tent camping and this was so much better. The bedding was very comfortable for me. I'm 6' 1" tall and had enough room, but if you are taller it might be a little short.

Weather wise, we didn't luck out. It was cloudy and it rained several times. 'Red' kept us warm and dry thou. Gene had a tiny ceramic heater that turned off it tipped over, so very safe. It heated up rather quickly and we only used it one night. No need for AC this trip, but glad it was an option.

We liked having the kitchen outside as the hinged lid covered you and had a build it light too. We used the burners plus an electric griddle that we plugged into the kitchen outlet. It was nice to move our food in coolers to the built in fridge/freezer. One rainy night we did play one of the DVDs that he had in RV. Easy to sit up in the bed to watch it. Really liked the inside shades, which could be totally closed one way and more a clear shade the other way.

We also rented the attachable tent for an extra charge. Never sat inside, but it turned out to be a good place to store our table/chairs and other things out of the rain. If used, keep in mind that it's rather small (5x7 ft), so you will not have much room. However, if it is buggy, a good place to hang out.

With COVID-19, there is a spike in first time renters like us. I suggest that Gene add a few FAQs to the listing as I'm sure he gets some of the same questions. Here are a few things that would be good to know.

Trailer Connections. My SUV had a 4 prong one. Gene has multiple connections, including one that converted to my 4 prong one.

USB and Electrical Ports. I believe there is electrical outlet in the kitchen area and one inside, plus 2 USB ports inside.

Trailer Hitch and Height. I had a 2" ball hitch which fit, plus a 1 7/8" ball. May want to list that, but you still should discuss your specific combination with Gene directly. The ONE thing that I didn't think of was hitch height. My hitch was fairly low to the ground to tow my utility trailer 'level'. I needed it 3-4" higher to tow Little Red horizontally. Although I had the tools and hitches to modify this, Gene was kind enough to swap out his own hitch so we could quickly get on our way! Very nice of him.

We'd definitely rent this again from Gene!

Gene was very helpful and responsive to all my questions, communicated clearly and was right on time! The trailer was exactly as advertised and in great shape. We had a fantastic time and plan to rent from him again!

We had a great experience with the teardrop 'Red' camper. Gene, the owner, brought the camper to our campgrounds, set it up, took it down and brought it back home. He's a great guy and very helpful. Would recommend any time!
