This is an old and fun RV! Driving it is a blast from the past, and the parts on it are very intuitive. You will most certainly not be the fanciest RV in the park.
We took it on an adventure with our family of four and fit comfortably!-- another couple kids could fit just fine.
Best in cooler climates- as it has no generator, and therefore no working AC, when the vehicle is stopped.
Everything else works fine while you are camping-- stove, fridge, toilet, etc...
This would be great for local , CA Oregon, Coastal travel, or even a mobile Air BnB.
Here are the problems (It is a 1988):
1. When we drove it in the desert in August- It overheated, and needed rest if we drove it during the day. At night it drove FINE. We got a bunch of cooling work done on it, but we still ran into this problem in the heat (90F). We have had NO problems in cool weather or at night (even Summer desert nights). The local mechanic cannot get it to act up, so we are waiting for another hot spell to resolve this issue.
2. It doesn't have a generator- which means no microwave or no AC in the camper part.
3. It is not very pretty. A few rust spots; it's faded etc...
4. It gets 8-9 miles per gallon.
