Feeling groovy? Our 1977 Volkswagen Bus can transport you to both your destination and a chill state of mind. Featuring a Riviera camper-style interior that was refurbished in 2020 by North Westy in Renton, Washington, a recently installed 2.5-liter Subaru flat-four paired with a four-speed manual transaxle keeps you cruising the open road. Additionally we add a second radiator in 2021 to keep the engine running cool. The exterior has been repainted in two-tone blue and white, while the interior features cloth front bucket seats and a matching rear bench that folds into a bed along with a sink, refrigerator, swing-out table, and cabinets. Additional equipment includes a Lecarra steering wheel, a Kenwood head unit with a USB input, and an ARB awning.
The 77 VW T2 is equipped for 2 campers:
*bed linens, Rumpl down comforter, 2 pillows (can be substituted for 2 single or 1 double sleeping bag, if available)
*Mountain Summit camp chairs
*Camp Chef Everest 2x camp stove and propane
*GSI Compact table
*GSI Outdoor Pinnacle Cookset: 3L pot, 2L pot, skillet, plates, bowls, insulated mugs
MSR Alpine Deluxe Kitchen set: folding spoon, spatula, grater/strainer, kitchen knife, salt/pepper, etc
*silverware
*Aeropress Go Travel coffee press
*cleaning kit: wash basin, microfiber towel, sponge, Camp Suds, paper towels, trash bags
*Black Diamond Re-Moji lanter
*flashlight
*First Aid kit
*fire extinguisher
*refrigerator
Hit the open road! The VW yearns for the backroads, the 2 lane highway, the road less traveled. This VW encourages you to take it easy as you take in the scenery. This is a great vehicle to cruise around in beautiful Montana and Wyoming or take in Yellowstone or Grand Teton National Parks. We do not recommend this vehicle for interstate driving-intensive trips. It has a narrow profile and short wheel base that moves easily in wind and or traffic-created wind.
Even with some refurbishing, this is a VINTAGE vehicle. Driving the 4 speed manual transmission takes some getting used, as do the small headlights, windshield wipers and mirrors. Daytime driving is recommended and a willingness to turn your body to check your surroundings when changing lanes is a must. Also, even though it has 4 seatbelts, this vehicle is best suited for 1-3 adults. This is a small vehicle inside and out and may not be comfortable for bigger campers.

I brought my daughter on a week-long adventure to Glacier National Park to celebrate her graduation from high school and had a fabulous time in this vintage VW! It was spacious for the two of us, with comfortable bedding, and generally well-stocked. Sara and Nathan are great owners, good communicators & super helpful. We've driven classic cars in the past, so we knew that driving a 45-year-old vintage VW campervan would not be like driving a modern car, but we were fine with that, and the van is in great shape for it's age. Decide what you want from your trip; we were looking for style, character, and great vibes and were not let down!

10/10 recommend. Sara was extremely easy to communicate with throughout the entire rental process. We drove from BZM to Yellowstone and spent 4 days driving around the park with zero issues. The 4 speed Subaru engine handled every mountain and hill with ease. I highly highly recommend booking with Sara.

Wonderful Experience. Sarah and Nathan were wonderful to deal with. They had everything ready to go and went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. Wonderful vacation.

Nathan and Sara's were great! They were very communicative and were even willing to do a last minute airport drop-off. Thanks so much!

We took the 77’ camper van. It is a really fun and very practical vehicle. You get lots of people asking about it and telling you stories of similar vans they have owned in the past.
