Update: Sadly Snowflake is sold (Me and my wife miss her). Therefore we are no longer renting her out.HOW TO Pick UP?
There are plenty of direct shuttle buses operating every day between Calgary airport to Canmore. They will take you right to our place in Canmore where we will be already waiting for you to introduce you to Snowflake. (Feel free to check f.e. Banff Airporter for schedule).Just imagine. After a long day hiking in the mountains and around turquoise glacier lakes, you get back to Snowflake, turn on an essential oil lamp, pour yourself a glass of wine, and relax in the ambient light of the Himalayan salt lamp.
Snowflake really was designed for relaxing trips to the mountains, lakes, and forests.So you care about sustainability and healthy living? We do too. That's why we used as many eco and sustainable materials while building her. So solar power, sheep wool insulation, and nontoxic paints and stains were a no-brainer.The bed is fixed, so you don't have to bother converting it into the couch each and every morning. Stopping anywhere on the road and jumping into a large bed to have a nap couldn't get any easier.There's plenty of space to hang out and socialize as the couch by the big window has two-seat extensions, so you can play board games with your campground neighbours on rainy days.The large refrigerator and freezer hold plenty of food and drinks without the need for ice.The van gets great fuel mileage compared to other vans and RVs. We average about 22 mpg (about 11L/100km) when travelling in the mountains.The factory dash air conditioning works great while driving on warm summer days. While the fan keeps it comfortable inside when camping. - Prep fee: $73.00. This fee will cover preparing and sanitizing the unit prior to each rental.

Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
Pick up time is between 4 pm - 8 pm
Drop off time is by 11 am
We are often flexible with pick up/drop off times if we have no other renters those days. Feel free to ask us.
Q.Does Snowflake have a toilet and a shower?
A.
For now, Snowflake doesn't have a toilet and shower. We never really needed any of those as there's plenty of public washrooms around the Canadian Rockies. We usually have a shower in the campgrounds.
Q.Does it have power and water hookups?
A.
The van has 400 watts solar panels and also an alternator to charge batteries while driving. It should give enough power for most trips. In case you plan to stay in one campground for a longer period of time (especially the shady spots), it also has a 30 amp power hookup with a 15 amp adapter - most common at the campgrounds.
The water tank is filled directly with the hose (with the attached water filter). The gray water tank under the sink needs to be emptied manually.
