Named for the man who moved to California and started a community, Carmichael is a fast-paced suburb of the city of Sacramento. Daniel W. Carmichael moved to the Golden State in 1885 to purchase a few thousand acres of land to settle. The original colony has come a long way in the last century, slowly morphing into a small city of its own.

Carmichael benefits from being only minutes from downtown Sacramento, where lots of trendy restaurants, food trucks, fabulous breweries, and shopping boutiques cab be seen. The streets of Carmichael are decorated with cherry palm trees and greenery year-round and the weather is rarely dismal.

San Francisco and Oakland in the bay area are not too far of a drive when you rent an RV, and neither are the various national parks and forests to the west. This desirable little city has essentially everything you could possibly hope for and more when searching for ideal vacation destinations.
