Escalon is located to the east of San Francisco and just a bit north of Modesto. When you book an RV in Escalon, you’ll find yourself not too far away from Napa Valley and some wonderfully picturesque and gorgeous scenery. The name of this town is Spanish for “stepping stone”. And it is the stepping stone between more populous cities to the west and the gorgeous Sierra Nevada Mountain Range to the east.

This area is fertile farmland and remains a great agricultural industry. If you rent an RV in Escalon, you’ll only be about a 30-minute drive away from the Stanislas National Forest near Bear Valley. You’ll also be due west of Yosemite National Park. A bit to the north, due east of Sacramento is El Dorado National Forest and farther to the north of that is Tahoe National Forest near Lake Tahoe and Olympic Valley.
