When not surfing you can enjoy the wildlife at the Snowy Plover Reserve which is located at the southern end of the beach between Talbert Channel and the Santa Ana River, this is home to endangered species such as the California Least Terns and the Snowy Plover. The park is also a prime spot for surf fishing, an array of fish can be caught along these shores.
If you?re keen on surfing then attending the week long U.S. Open of Surfing competition and celebration is a must on your list. This is the largest surfing competition in the world, attracting over half a million people. During nine exciting days you can witness the world?s best surfers, listen to live music, and watch movie premieres and fashion shows. Taking a stroll in the Huntington Beach Pier is a must during your stay in Surf City USA. It is one of the longest piers in the U.S, measuring 1,850 feet into the Pacific Ocean. This state park like South Carlsbad offers sites that back right up to a scenic view of the ocean below. Some sites here also provide full hookups for your RV rental including water, sewer, and electricity. This beach is famous for the surf and year round you will discover great waves and great events. Plan your stay here in advance it fills up quick!
With views of the ocean front you can park your RV rental on the edge of a bluff and experience the San Diego Coast. Staying here you can enjoy recreational activities such as swimming, fishing, surfing, scuba diving and beachcombing. A convenient camping store is located within the park as well. There are no hookups at this state park so if you want electricity to watch the game or make some coffee make sure the RV rental you choose also includes a generator.
During your stay at Oceanside RV Park you'll have access to 3.5 miles of pristine beaches, or play at one of four golf courses within minutes of the park. If you?d like to get out and enjoy the water you can rent boats, kayaks, jetskis or surf. If you prefer to fish you can try your skill at the 1,942 foot pier. The California Surf Museum is just minutes away and at certain times of the year you will be able to enjoy national surfing competitions.
