Both Mammoth Mountain and Mount Morrison are within a short driving distance from Mammoth Lakes. Set high above Mammoth Lakes, Mammoth Mountain Ski Area offers one of the longest skiing seasons in the United States. No RV camping trip at Mammoth Lakes is complete without making a stop at Earthquake Fault. Measuring 10 feet wide 60 feet deep, this huge fissure cuts through the volcanic rocks.
