Wilderness Archery, Inc. in Rocklin, California is owned and operated by a family who are devoted to their guests. The management leads a team that works to ensure that all of the facilities are operating properly to serve the needs of experienced archers as well as absolute beginners. The Pro Shop is an archer?s dream with the best brands available. Customers will find anything that an archer might want. The staff is ready to take care of traditional archers, those who use a compound hunter, and those who just want to shoot targets. All the arrow building supplies necessary are available from the experts in the store. In addition, the store has many arrow rests and sights to choose from. The expert staff organizes leagues that meet on a regular basis. There are classes for those just getting started and experienced archers who want to get some practice. The facilities include a well-lit indoor range with lanes for all guests.
The world famous Folsom Lake offers a ton of RV camping options along the scenic shores. As a bonus the American River trail ends here allowing you to hop on the bikes and ride a paved multi-use trail all the way down into Sacramento (just not that down part because it is uphill all the way back!) RV sites are available both with and without hookups so if you want to save some money on a campsite get a RV rental with a generator and book a primitive site.
Auburn Gold Country RV Park near Rocklin, California is in the heart of historic country. People from around the world descended on this part of the country searching for gold during the rush. The weather in this campground is almost always ideal, so campers will be able to enjoy the great outdoors. This area has a rich history that campers will find fascinating. The park is close to Highways 49 and 89, so it is easy to get to interesting attractions. The park itself has many amenities and attractions. Most of the sites have 50 amp electrical service and free WiFi service. The park has large RVsites and resort style amenities. The pool and spa are heated to the perfect temperature. In addition, there is a playground, basketball court, and onsite fishing pond. The clubhouse has recently been remodeled making it a comfortable retreat for people camping in the park. Intriguing attractions are nearby including Sutter?s Mill and the state Capitol.
Tucked into San Joaquin Valley near Lodi, is the Flag City RV Resort. This is the perfect resort for the big boy RV?s with roomy sites on offer. Each site comes equipped with water and sewer, amp electric, direct TV, and site wide WIFI. A picnic area in each site ensures comfort and privacy for dining and relaxing. There is a total of 180 full hook-up sites, with 136 pull through available. Each site has a cement pad for your RV. Also onsite is a swimming pool, heated spa, clubhouse, library and convenience store. This park is wonderfully peaceful, and is the perfect spot to take the family for a trip. With 24-hour surveillance, your safety and security are very important to the staff here. Aside from the top notch facilities, there are also some wonderful attractions nearby such as the many vineyards in Lodi Country.
You can relive the gold rush era at the Old Sacramento State Historic Park and explore 296 acres filled with 50 historic buildings. Old Sacramento?s fame lies in it being the last station of the Pony Express postal system in the west, which was the first transcontinental railroad. The historic park has more buildings of historical value than any other place in the West.
The California State Railroad Museum complex consists of six original, reconstructed, and new buildings. Over 225,000 square feet of total exhibit space, there are many things you can learn about the unique past and culture of the West. Many interactive exhibits demonstrate the importance of railroads in everyday life. The 21 restored locomotives include a Pullman style sleeping car and a Railway Post Office that visitors can actually board.
This is the only RV park in Sacramento that is right on the river. You'll have a great view of the river, old growth trees that provide shade and the marina offers a place to take a dip and park your boat. There is an onsite convenience store and free wireless, but if you want a taste of town, Old Sacramento is just 10 minutes away. A nice destination in your RV rental.
The Yuba City Astronomical Observatory is a wonderful place for visitors of all ages. The observatory is owned and operated by a family trust and located south of the city near the Sutter Buttes Mountain Range. Visitors will be impressed with the entire facility. There is one nine foot dome for the brilliant scientists who study astronomy. There is also an 11 inch Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope. The focused study using the observatory includes planetary, deep sky, NEO studies, photometry, and astrophotography. The observatory is operated by a trustee appointed by the family. The facilities were established in September of 2010. The staff at the observatory hosts star parties in order to get the people in the community to be excited about the sky above them at night. They focus is on providing educational programs for members of the community. All the members of the community and visitors are welcome to these special events.
