Hayward in California is just five miles away from Anthony Cabot Regional Park, and if you are visiting in this locality, it is well worth checking out the campground in the park. The amenities here include water, sewer and electric, and it is both family friendly and pet friendly. The campground is open year-round, and pull thru-sites are available. This park does make for a good touring base, as you are within reach of the San Francisco Bay area. It is also a place where you can enjoy outdoor activities, and where you can hit the trail when you want to. There are many miles of trails in Anthony Cabot Regional Park, and these offer options for hikers, cyclist and horseback riders. The East Bay Skyline National Trail runs the length of the park, and is a great choice if you want to get on your bike and cover some distance.
