Few vacation destinations can compare to the grandeur of Southern California, and when traveling through, you’d be hard pressed to find a better place to make camp than in South Pasadena. The city separated from the larger city of Pasadena in the late 1800s as landowners sought more control of their city and today it stands as a vacation destination in its own right.

Today the wide boulevards of Pasadena are lined with leafy old-growth trees that actually conceal its Southern California roots. In fact, the lack of palm trees and the decidedly non-Spanish facades of many of its homes make South Pasadena a popular filming location when studios need to portray a midwestern town.

While Los Angeles traffic can be quite a challenge, it can be alleviated through the use of public transportation. Instead of driving your travel trailer rental in South Pasadena into downtown LA, take the Metro Gold line, which will have you there in just a short while. The best part is you won’t even need to search for parking. When you book an RV in South Pasadena you get all the benefits of the big city without the high prices and crowded streets.
