Have a question?Get answers directly from the owner

Q.Where can I stay in the van?
A.
There are many options for 'vanlife' camping, a good resource on the go is the iOverlander App for a variety of camping options from pullouts, established camping spots and more. Another great one you will have access to with this van is the HarvestHosts App, we have a membership where you can stay free at many different wineries, farms, golf courses etc. (Advance reservation is required on most of these). Of course you can reserve at campgrounds, state and national parks etc..

Q.How does the power system work? when/how do I need to charge it?
A.
Electricity is on a battery system and does not require you to be connected to an RV hookup. Chances are if you are efficient with power usage and don't keep the water heater on all of the time (only during showers) you will never need to plug in to charge up (except no sun winter area) You can charge up the batteries with: - Solar (if there is sun) - While driving (alternator charging) NO IDLING TO CHARGE BATTERIES PLEASE! - By plugging into an RV outlet - By plugging into a regular AC outlet

Q.How does the sewage system work? do I need to empty it?
A.
Sewage is easy, you don't really have any. With a composting toilet the urine diverts into a container that is very easy to empty and will fill with 1-2 people in about 48 hours of use. Keep an eye on it and empty as needed (we do require you empty this before returning the van. The #2 product goes into a separate tank and composts with some natural fiber material, chances are you will not fill this up as it lasts a long time.

Q.How does the water system work? when do I need to fill it?
A.
The water system is a self contained 32 gallon water tank with a 22 gallon graywater tank. We suggest you fill the tank once you reach (or are close to) your primary destination so you don't have to haul the water around on the drive. Keep an eye on your water usage, but 32 gallons goes a long way. The graywater tank can be emptied anywhere since we use only biodegradable soap - but there is a small transfer pump to make emptying the tank easier.
