Meet your host, David

Member since 2021

Hi all,
My wife of 26 years and I, have owned them all; bumper pull trailers, a dozen or so, an orphaned motorhome Alfa (what a nightmare that was) headed to Mexico (to get all of the mercury out of our mouths by a proper holistic dentist we would extremely highly recommend (hint all in $20,000 worth of work for $3,500 when we flew there)) and 2 weeks later we were still in a campground south of San Fran awaiting parts.................. finally my wife said' if its not fixed in 48 hours I'm flying home....... and she meant it (of course pre virus years), and our current toy hauler for the grand kids to join us, needless to say I Magivered it back together and limped home, and a 5er my ultimate unit, a Glendale Titanium and another orphan. The quality build is top of the charts.
We have two seniors traveling with us; our 14 year old mut, lab cross golden retriever...... hahaha anyone want my leaf/stick/ball/whatever I can find for a gift......... and our 11 year old, on her 4th life, tortoiseshell cat, no sorry Fluff Muffin, PRINCESS, and supreme mouse and (unfortunately) bird catcher.

The Glendale Titanium was the Gold standard in build quality, choice of materials in all aspects from what you could see; carpet, lino, solid wood cupboards, furniture, dual pane windows, etc. to all you couldn't see; the superatructure, use of Aluminum where appropriate, and extra thick insulation everywhere......... so what you say, how does that effect me? Comfort, and efficiency. Quicker to heat or cool, and less costly for that matter. A great choice for Newbies, giving you a positive sense, and appreciated by Oldtimers like us. But at the day............ its all about the whole experience. So come on over to our little piece of paradise, enjoy some time camping right here, 50m and two small hills from us, 20m off a road, boondocking like the pros! The water tank will have local water in it, we drink it after a Brita filter, and its also used at the taps for washing, and very frugally in the toilet unlike your home toilet. The waste ends up in other tanks. Probably too much information, right......? There is enough charge on the primary battery to get you through about 3 days. If your stay is longer, I will add extra batteries onto that one to match your stay length. So, you can relax, go swimming, boating, exploring; we have lots of trails, beachcombing, cycling, or just lying back with that great book you have picked up dozens of times.............and reading until your eyelids grow heavy..............

Have a question?Get answers directly from the owner

Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
This rig is much too large for all but properly equipped F350, 450, 550 class of vehicles. Therefore, we offer a delivery/training/pickup service within 120km of our home base. Frankly, more than 50% of our guests choose to save the hassle and cost of campgrounds and experience 'boon-docking' off grid, all by themselves, away from the road and noise knowing we are only 50m away on the other side of a rise in the driveway...just to back them up.......

Q.Are there any special tricks and tips that would help with operating the RV easily?
A.
We will go through those when you arrive, and leave you with a manual we created for your reference.

Q.How do the electric, water and sewage hook up work while setting up at the campground?
A.
Again, that is all handled for you............. just a bonus part of the service............. and the same goes when its time to head home

Q.When we are boon-docking do we have power?
A.
You sure do............ just remember the source, battery. We have a single HD deep cycle 12v providing power for up to 3 day stays. For those of you staying with us longer, I will have added more in proportion to your stay. No gas generators are permitted now as we are in fire high alert status. Therefore, if you do not use it efficiently ............ well you get the point......
