I would give 0 stars if it was an optionFor the followingTwo hours into our trip to South Dakota we noticed the front air conditioner had quit pumping cold air so, we tried the generator. The generator ran in the beginning but then after approximately 1-1/2 hours it started to randomly shut off. We tried multiple times and a couple times we where able to get it to come on for maybe a half an hour and then it would quit working. We did this multiple times until it quit working completely We had our dogs in the RV with us going through the desert between Bakersfield and Las Vegas at 111° temperature outside and 100° temperature inside the RV. we had no choice but to pull over and find an RV park in Las Vegas to be able to plug-in. The owner suggested calling his generator guy which we did and tried everything we could do to trouble shoot it over the phone to get it to work, with no luck. We had to stay that night in Las Vegas due to the extreme heat and the safety of our animalsThe next morning we had the batteries checked, as per the recommendation from the owner Tod, batteries checked out good. Due to already losing one day of our trip we left after the batteries where checked. At that point we decided we were driving there in the early mornings and at night time to try to beat the heat until we got closer to our final destination as we couldn’t miss my father’s celebration of life. On Friday morning we called the roadside assistance number from outdoorsy To see if they could help troubleshoot it and/or send a mobile repair persons to us. They were unable to troubleshoot it remotely and And couldn’t find a mobile repair person They called us back later that evening and said they found an auto mechanic 75 miles away from us that we would have to drive to to see if he could fix the front AC so we could have some type of comfort. The repair person was unable to see us until Saturday morning at 9am which was the day of my fathers celebration of life. We left early in the morning and we finally returned a little over four hours later with the front air conditioner working, barely making back in time. We left to start our return trip back on Sunday morning with the front air conditioner still working, but no generator. The front air conditioner quit working by the end of that day. We would have no front air conditioner or generator working for the remainder of this trip.
We spent more time trying to get this motorhome to work then we did enjoying this vacation and lost many days and hours of our site seeing trip due to the issues with this rv including having to drive at night and early morningsas to not subject our animals to the extreme heat.We wanted to rent this RV to be able to see the beautiful sites and national parks along the way, with the comfort of air conditioning and the convenience/comfort of having a generator that works so that we could just stop anywhere we wanted. We were unable to achieve any of that on this trip and that’s why we are seeking a refund
